Hello everyone. I am new to the forums, so please tell me if i am violating a universal law of the forums. Anyway, I just recently got an Xbox 360 Slim, and I immediately realized that Minecraft was available for Xbox. But should I buy it? I have PE and PC versions, and my friend has it, too. Please say if I should buy, things I should be aware of, and what is different from PE and PC. Thank you.
You should. It doesn't come with all the features that the computer version has ( an example of this is the command block ) but other than that it's great. You can get it built into your 360 or buy the disc. I have mine built in but that was because the disc version wasn't out when I got it. The format is up to you.
The Xbox version is pretty similar to the PC version as it was about 1 1/2 years ago. There are a couple of features from the PC version that were there back then but that were intentionally skipped over. Most notably, there is no book and quill and no hardcore mode. There are some major differences designed to make better use of features of the Xbox itself- like the tabular crafting interface and the ability to play 4-player splitscreen mode. Some people here have indicated that they enjoy playing both on the PC and on the Xbox and others have indicated that they prefer playing on just one or the other. Mostly, your decision should be just that, your decision. Whether or not you'll be happy with it really depends on you.
