You can really build anything you want, from a simple wood house, to a wood mansion, a wizard tower, castle fortress, underwater base, a skyscraper, it's really whatever you can come up with! You have to think about what you like and want to do. The fun of Minecraft comes from whatever you enjoy doing the most in it. If you're brand new to the game and don't know all that much.. this is a really good starting guide:

You can make mini-games, giant towers/builds, etc. Those things are fun to me.
