If someone joins a hosts world and doesn't have the right texture pack the game automatically downloads the trial version of that texture pack. The only exception is the Halloween texture pack from what I understand. You can't join a host running that one if you don't have the full version.
I googled about textures and online buti could only come up with old posts and stuff before textured were even implemented.
I think I've joined only one world that was a different texture.. But I owned that texture so I just assumed it was nothing.
Then someone else joined and said cool texture wish I had it and left.. So was that why? Or did I just assume and get confused lol
Or is it like a temporary 'pass' while in the hosts world?
It's kind of a moot issue. Only the host can save the game in a multiplayer session.
I just didn't want to make a world with a texture and have no one join or be able to because of not getting it.
