i just found a abonden mineshaft what should i do? im scared there are ender men in it and i dont want to die and lose all my levels im planing to restore it. should i explore it cautiously?
Explore it much the same as you would any other cave... lighting it up as you go. The more light you put in it, the fewer the monsters that will spawn there. Endermen usually aren't the biggest problem in abandoned mineshaft... it's cave spider spawners. There will often be 4 or 5 of them in the various tunnels and often you will encounter two that are close together. Watch some videos on YouTube to learn some techniques for conquering these spawners without dying. If you're concerned about losing a lot of built up XP, then save exploring the abandoned mineshaft until just after you enchanting something (i.e. using that XP for the enchantment).
Abandoned Mines are very confusing and very easy to get lost in. Take something you can use to help navigate (colored wool, netherack, sign posts, etc.) and be prepared to spend hours working out the entire shaft.
I recommend establishing a home base just outside/inside the mine with some chests and furnaces and a crafting table. You can stock up food and supplies there and use it as a retreat if things get hairy.
Save often.
If you are going to restore the mine, bring plenty of wood and iron to rebuild the tracks and supports.
Abandoned Mine shafts are one of my favorite parts of the game! Enjoy!

Abandoned Mineshafts are hard to explore because they are more like difficult mazes in-game.So it might be impsssible because there iis a chance that the abandoned mineshafts are connected to another minehsaft, and to make it more interesting, there might be three mineshafts(or more like entire world of minehsfts :D)So if you want my suggestion,Try to add paintings, remove all cobwebs and spawners, add torcches or glowstone and increase the height of it.And if you want my opinion, try to make stronghold a base, they are huge and have a danger of monsters due to darkness,i know, but once you do not mine any stone bricks,or if you find out the difference between monster egg blocks and stone blocks, and put more torches you can make it a base easily. If they are more like broken strongholds, they are easy to repair, and make a boundary wall to your part of a base and ther rest of the stronghold. And they have one HUGE advantage. If you have enough ender eyes and have obsidian and flint and steel, you can add both portals inside. So if you want to make underground bases involving minecraft structures,Here are the pros and cons.
--Mineshafts--
Advantages,
They are a source of cobwebs.
A source of wood and fences,
and if you are a more type of killing guy, killing cave spiders may be the biggest challenge for you.
Disadvantages
They are huge and a danger for hostile mobs,(not if you have torches)
you can get lost easily because its a maze-like structure(not if you make a certain part of it your base)
Cobwebs make you SOOOOOO slow.
--Dungeon--
Easy to repair.
Source of cobblestone
Source of loots and chests.
Disadvantages
They are soo small.
Monsters are a danger.
--Stronghold--
They are difficult for griefers or trollers to find.
A good source of stone bricks(dont mine the monster egg blocks those rats can kill you)
They are huge.
Source of loot.
Easy to be repaired.
If you have obsidian and flint and steel and ender eyes, the base is a perfect place for those both portals.
You can make a wall which seperates your base from the other part of the stronghold.
DisAdvantages
Enough light for monsters to not spawn but there can be monsters from other areas such as intersected caves, dungeons and mineshafts.
Danger of silverfish.(if you are concentrated on your work and dont care about silverfich)
Hope it helped and one thing,
I used to play minecraft xbox, but i defeated all the bosses so it goot boring. So i went on with minecraft pe.
If you are that worried of dying then I suggest when first finding the mineshaft to dig up in a staircase pattern back to the top, then you will have a way from the top ground back to your mineshaft, then put away all the things you don't want to lose, you could even put a bed up at the top of the hole in case you die or something, then just mark areas you've gone in with torches or a certain kind of block so you don't get lost.
