Jungle spiders are a new type of monster. These would be an emerald green color, and would be the size of a cave spider. Its attack would be weak (Only doing 1 heart of damage) and would give the player poison for 2 seconds. They would drop spider eyes and string when killed. These spiders would spawn in a unique way, from jungle leaves. At night, 1 in 250 jungle leaf blocks would spawn a spider inside, such would crawl out. During the day, they have a 1 in 1000 chance. They can also spawn when a player breaks a jungle leaf block, but it would happen very rarely.
There could also be a queen variant of the spider. She would be very large, bright green, have long curved legs and would deal 5 hearts of damage in each hit. Her attack would involve htting you once, then backing up, and attacking again. When killed, she would drop lots of Xp, no items. One queen jungle spider would spawn in the middle a new jungle structure, which would be a large, circular temple filled rwith cobwebs which would appear randomly. The loot inside each temple would be 8 emerald or gold blocks.
(I was inspired by the new ocean monuments when making this suggestion)
Decent idea , though I dislike the queen mob not dropping anything , btw , do the queens despawn/Respawn ?
I don't really like the loot , 8 gold blocks or emerald ... To me , these are useless .
The queen would only drop experience, but I guess she could have some kind of drop. And the queen will only spawn when you get close, it would never respawn. And I wanted to have block loot, but chests with valuables would be okay as well.
I wanted to have a Mini-boss in the game, thought it might be cool.

The only thing that bothers me is the loot in the temple seems overpowered. And the queen should poison you for abit longer, and perhaps poison II. All in all, a great idea though!
Jungle spiders are a new type of monster. These would be an emerald green color, and would be the size of a cave spider. But unlike the cave spider, its attack would be weak (Only doing 1 heart of damage) and instead of poisoning the player, it would give them slowness for 10 seconds. They would drop spider eyes and string when killed. These spiders would spawn in a unique way, from jungle leaves. At night, 1 in 200 jungle leaf blocks would spawn a spider inside, such would crawl out. During the day, they have a 1 in 1000 chance. They can also spawn when a player breaks a jungle leaf block, but it would happen very rarely.
There could also be a queen variant of the spider. She would be very large, bright green, have long curved legs and would deal 5 hearts of damage in each hit, and would debuff the player with 25 seconds of slowness per hit. Her attack would involve hitting you once, then backing up, and attacking again. When killed, she would drop lots of Xp, no items (If you have an item you think she should drop, let me know). One queen jungle spider would spawn in the middle a new jungle structure, which would be a large, circular temple filled with cobwebs which would appear randomly. The loot inside each temple would be 8 emerald or gold blocks (Or chests with temple loot, whichever you prefer)

i dont like the idea of there only being the one, only found in a new stucture. this means that not only is it rare that youll have one, it means that once you kill her thats it.
i would propose that she be an extreamly rare spawn. one in every thousand jungle spiders that spawn is a queen.
i would propose she drops a new item. a "mass of webs". this would effectivly look like a body that has been spun up in webs, the next meal for our spider queen, or a privious meal. players would be able to open the webbing, and any item in the game could be found. lower quality items would be more common, but other more powerful things would also be available. also, there could be a chance to find a villiger or other neutral (or hostile) mob.
the fact that the item would be such a grab bag of possibilitys would make for great fun. expecialy if your prepairing for a viligar, and end up with a creaper.
I just had a thought about the queen... a ranged attack could be that it shoots out webbing (places web blocks randomly around a central targeted point, area of effect), the Queen (and other spiders) can move through web blocks without having their speed impaired. this could also be a death action where webs spew out, centered around the body, once the queen is killed.

Could the drop be a 'queen spider sac' ? But I can't think of any decent uses for it . Potion brewing ? No . It's not renewable . Can you make this spider renewable ?
I'd be fine with the brewing idea, but what should the potion do? And as for the respawning queen, I have another idea...

Like the web shooting idea, I'll write that one below. Currently, neither regular nor cave spiders are slowed by cobwebs, and the jungle and queen jungle would be slowed either. I'll post some more ideas.
There would be two new mobs added to the game: The jungle spider, and the queen jungle spider. The regualr jungle spiders would be small, green, and would drop a spider eye and strong upon death. They have 2 hearts of health, and would deal one heart of damage to the player, along with inflicting the player with 10 seconds of slowness. Jungle spiders would spawn on 10% of all leaf blocks during the day, and 20% of all leaf blocks at night, making the jungle a rsiky place to stay in. There is an additional chance of a spider spawning when a player breaks a leaf block with anything other than shears. Small jungle spiders could be scared away by ocelots, tamed or not.
The queen spider would be a much larger variant of the jungle spider, with an emerald green coloration, long curved legs, glowing red eyes, pincers and 50 hearts of health. They would spawn inside of a circular jungle ruin, from a queen spider spawner on the inside. There is a spawn limit of one per world, so only one queen spider could spawn per world. The queen spider would have a unique attack sequence. She would have a few variants of attack. The most common is a lunge attack, which deals 3 hearts of damage to the unarmored player, along with the infliction of slowness II, for 1:00. Her second attack is a web shooting attack, where she would shoot a white substance from her pincers. Webs would generate wherever the white stream hit. Upon death, she would drop spiders silk (What might this do? You decide) and spawn 5 more small jungle spiders.
Additionally, the temple would be very large, and almost completely submerged underground (10 blocks deep, 15 blocks across) The temple would have a light scattering of cobwebs. There would be 4 gold or emerald blocks inside the temple (And very, very, very rarely, diamond blocks), but the main loot to be found is the spider silk (Which we still need to find a purpose for)

Maybe. This gives me another idea...
