Hi! i'm really new to this and had a question I can't seem to find an answer for. If I purchased DLC packs for Minecraft, can I use them in survival mode? I really only play with my son in this mode and saw that they have a skin pack where we can be Avengers. Is that only for creative though? Also I saw something while loading the game called texture packs. Can I buy others and use them in survival mode?

You can use player skins in Survival mode.

I'm certain you can use Texture packs, too.

Any DLC can be used in any mode, they aren't 'mode' specific.

As Geneo state, any pack (skin pack, texture pack and even mash up pack) can be used in either survival or creative mode. The only proviso are the pre-designed Mash Up pack worlds. Since the developer has used creative mode to build the various buildings, etc. in the mash up pack worlds, those worlds already have the leaderboards and achievements disabled. You can still play them in survival mode, you just won't get any leaderboard or achievement credit for it.
