that being said I play on xbox because I don't like playing on a laptop (feels like work). When minecraft comes out on the new consoles I'm planning to switch over to the PS4 or xbox one. bigger worlds and better multiplayer. hopefully better anti-griefer tools.
I'd delete your poll. No one can answer "which is best", it would be more like which one they prefer, and you'll get a bunch of subjective answers.
To answer your question, each version has their own advantages/disadvantages. I'd do your research and make up your own mind for what you want. I think the real question is "I was wondering if the 360 version is right for me?".... and we can't answer that.
(While I won't advise you one way or the other, the fact is the console versions have outsold the PC version. Chew on that.)
First, I suggest you read the TOS for this forum and consider rewording your question and eliminating the poll so as not to start a platform war. Otherwise, you may expect that the moderators will lock this thread..
Also, may I suggest you use the Wiki pages describing each platforms version history to compare them in detail and decide for yourself whether each different is a pro or con to you (since people have individual needs and wants when it comes to game play. For example, if you need to have up to four people in your household playing at the same time, the console edition offers 4-player splitscreen that the PC edition doesn't have.
Personally, I'm at a loss as to why anyone really needs to own the same game on 3 different platforms... but it's your buck.
Pc beats any console in terms of updates, world size, multiplayer limits, commands and servers. You can also download mods, custom skins and texture packs. However, you need a higher end computer, with lots of memory and storage (Or ram or whatever) Keep in mind that lower end computers might not be able to run mods, or minecraft very smoothly.
The benefits of console gamplay is that you can run minecraft without having to pay lots of money on that high end computer. There are also mash-up packs, which completely outdo any resource pack on the pc, IMO. The skins are also a little bit more detailed. And though are worlds are small, you will easily find plenty of resources. In addition, you could also play 4 player splitscreen, which means you could buy one copy and play with four people at the same time.
The next gen consoles will have worlds that are 36 times larger, and much higher spawn limits.
Pocket edition, with its newest update, brings it very close to the pc. However, it still lacks enchanting, brewing, the nether, the end, cat taming. Its better for on the go playing, when you can't use your pc. But its still a very good version of minecraft.
If you want to play on the console, I might save up your money for the Xbox one. If not, the Xbox 360 is a fine console for minecraft.
Can you guys post the pros and cons about Minecraft for 360?
Thanks guys. I'm looking forward to reading your guys' response.
My Drags~ Please click on them to keep them from starving
