This is probably a bit of a stupid and desperate question, but before i put the effort into testing this, i thought i should ask first.
Is it possible to change a biome type to another biome by terraforming the environment? For example, i go onto a plains biome and cover the entire place with sand. will it officially change to a desert biome at all? Which would include no longer raining.
Another example- I go and cover a biome in snow. will it become a snow biome, and the weather will be snow when it would originally rain?
Biomes are in the games world generation code. Changing the blocks and things within the biomes will not change the fact that it's a desert, forest, ocean, or extreme hills.
After a few updates ago, my Desert Biome that my friend was living in my world changed to a Snow Biome.. threw both of us off because he didn't want to live in a biome that rained or snowed. That update messed a few of my worlds up too

Although it would be great to do so, generally, players would use it to their advantage. (Which isnt a bad thing, we adapt to our environment anyway).
However, I would like to see something in-game that changes the environment/landscape of certain biomes over time. (Like seasons). While there are MODS that can def do this, it would be nice if this was in the vanilla game itself. The pros / cons would be have to be balanced obviously, but it would drastically change the gameplay experience.
Think about it, lets say you live in a Plains biome and over time you notice its starts to rain a lot more, thus your farming will bloom. Contrary, you might notice a period of where it is less rainy and dry, thus taking your crops more time to grow and things like that. << Things like this would be cool and debatable, but it'll add some added versatility to gameplay i guess.
From my understanding tho, if you live in the same place for a very long time, over time, MOBS are supposed to become harder and harder to kill, but ive never had anything like this happen to me. << But i would lowkey kinda like for this to happen every once in a while.

1. no, i hate the rain, it sounds horrible and i hate turning down my headset sound so having an extra rainy season is terrible until they give us either a toggle downfall option or ability to change rain sound itself and not the entire game sound
2. its called "localized difficulty". it was added in PC 1.6 . it doesnt make them harder to kill, just a tad bit stronger and spawn more often at night
