Minecraft is THE primary factor in upgrading to a new console. Already gotten rid of one xbox and will be trading in two other Xboxes, 4 controllers and every game for the new console. Since minecraft comes out in august I will likely be buying one a few days before it comes out. The only games I plan to buy over the next year plus are minecraft and COD advanced warfare. I would go ahead and get a new console now but then I would not be playing on it till minecraft comes out.
Some of the early information about minecraft like worlds being much larger and better multiplayer are big factors in the choice. So I was wondering if anyone else is as excited as I am about switching over.
Not 100% certain about which console to get. I was dead set against the xbox one but some issues like you can now buy it without connect makes it a possibility again.
You had an Xbox before, so if you want your worlds, skin and texture packs to pass over, then go to Xbox one. Not only that, but you will only need to pay 5 dollars to go to Xbox (Because you had it on 360) but you will need to pay full price for ps4.

Actually, none of your things will pass over if you switch from 360 to One. Even your worlds, people are asking 4J if they could please write the code like 360, but no one has heard any news yet.

Well the worlds, texture packs, skins and price are not an issue for me. I am assuming I will start a new world, I use the original texture pack, the 1 skin pack I bought I could do without and if they would get some better anti-griefing tools then I would buy 2 new consoles and set one up as a permanent 24/7 server.

Your worlds, texture packs, and skins (with a few exceptions on skins and textures) will transfer to the Xbox One.
The more I think about it the more I think griefing will be worse on new consoles than on the existing ones. With the vast increase in world size (I like this feature) it will be impossible to search everywhere on the world to search for griefing and then go back to a previous stick drive save.
I'm going to get an Xbox one sooner or later. But first I plan to build a new PC, so it could be awhile. I'll probably play a bit of MCPC between now and then though.
Personally I will be going xbox one, but not yet, just not enough games that interest me to make the jump yet. I defiantly am looking forward to being able to build bigger contraptions with less lag, more entities, bigger farms, ect on the xbox one.
I am missing a option i am missing the pc option because i go to pc with mc cuz mods
I just left 'other' to include the multiple other options anything from playing on the PC to lego minecrafting. Figured most people playing on a console will continue to do so.
