i believe that i have cracked the spawning code for stronholds on 360. i think that the ones with endportals spawn in mountan biomes. im not 100% sure if this is true, so i would like to ask you guys if you have proof or not. this iv found true in most of my worlds(i dont always look) and i think its a good enough guess.

On one of my worlds the Endportal is in the Snow biome so I don't think this is true..

okay than it must be a coincidence. did you find it by eyes of ender or mining and found it?

Not every stronghold..sometimes ravines or mine shafts cut through and destroy it. there are many strongholds where i put TNT everywhere for a 100 block radius of the stronghold and never found one..

I've found Strongholds in every single biome.

All of which had End Portals.

Ditto Mustache_Guy. In addition, I have not ever found a stronghold without an end portal somewhere. Sometimes is it "disconnected" from the main body of the stronghold, but it has ALWAYS been there and has always been intact (since 4J altered the code on the Xbox 360 some time ago to ensure that EVERY STRONGHOLD HAS AN INTACT END PORTAL).

Possible that you accidentally blew it up?

Possible that you accidentally blew it up?

end portal frames are indestructible like bedrock only they can be broken in creative..they have a blast resistance of like over 1 million so TNT could never blow it up anyways. also, i blew up everything for 100 or so blocks and did the xray glitch multiple times but never found the portal...on like 2 seeds..

What update was this in. If the current one, can you post the seed strings. I'll check it out.

it was mainly TU13/1.03 on the ps3. and ill try and find the worlds, but it might take me a while xD..i have a ton of worlds..all of which named New World except for my survival islands

MG and UpUp have the right of it.

Every Stronghold I've encountered has had an intake portal. It might have a "false wall" blocking the entrance or be in it's own "mini-stronghold" , and even when using the x-ray glitch they can be hard to locate. But /every/ stronghold I've seen had a portal. You might just need to look a little harder.

yes, i know this is the minecraft wiki, but still

. If a ravine or an abandoned mine shaft intersects with the room, some portal frame blocks may be missing and the End Portal will not be usable

I just wish eyes of ender took you to the portal room like on pc instead of a random room in the stronghold

The end portal on the seed im using is under water. Here is the seed.

I do not remember which update this one seed was created under .. but we found the stronghold and one of the portal stones.. not sure what theblock you put the eyes of ender in is called.. but we were missing one of them.. had to go in creative mode to fix it…

i only say wut i said because eyes of ender always take me to the mountain biome, for whatever reason.
