Ok,I'm currently hosting a survival server. It is really fun, but it can get a bit boring from time to time. I would like to know if anybody has any ideas for a way to get away from this problem. I need either
1) new ideas for what to do on the server. Mini games or projects to build. That sort of thing.
2) a new idea for a world with a twist. A new way of playing survival. This only needs to be for about 3-4 people, and won't be played too often. Just a new idea for a world that I could open up once a week if me and my friends get bored.

In my current world I'm building a skywalk in the end so you can walk around and tour the end crystals. The twist is that I'm not killing the dragon so to leave I have to die. you can't take anything out but you can take stuff in. Making it out of obsidian with iron bars so you have a view.

some ideas

build a massive sky exp farm
build a massive village and cure 2 zombie villagers for it
ake said village big enough to spawn iron golems
get a chest full of food
get a chest full of wood
get a chest full of iron
tame as many wolves as the game allows
tame as many ocelots as the game allows.
take said pets with you everywhere you go
build a MASSIVE 40x40 multi-layered giganto farm with all crops
surround every block touching water on the map with sugarcane
build a mansion
build a large library
build 5 more bases
build a roller coaster
build pixel art in survival
build a 5x5 skyscraper that gpes to sky limit
start a "operation bedrock" kind of deal on the other side of your world
get OP stuff

want any more ideas?

3. build a kitpvp arena in creative and make your own kits

FYI, you can use Enderchests to take things out of the end before you kill the dragon. Just plop down your chest somewhere, deposit what you want to keep, then after you've died and respawned in the overworld place a second chest and extract your goodies.

Some great ideas.im not sure what operation bedrock is though. The tree spirit idea is amazing. Im going to build a giant ice themed tree for my base on the server, and also start a singleplayer world using the rules in the link.Cool dude, i have done at least 11 of those things XD

Operation bedrock is literally choosing an area, and digging out that whole area, from surface to bedrock. the series on youtube is doing it to the whole worldanother survival idea

build Pandas endermen farm in survival ...and that means putting a torch or water on EVERY . SINGLE. BLOCK. in the END....

currently building an end farm, but slimes take soo long to farm. Im planning to light up or maybe even blow up the end once its done. I have made holes down to quarries before, but I get so bored XD

the giant farm is a cool idea though. someone else on the map is digging out a quarry, so I might put a giant farm in there once they are done.

heres a tip for your end farm

either
A. put torches on EVERY block in the end
B. put water on every block (slightly easier )
c: blow everything up except for the farm
That will force them to spawn in your farm..from my expiernce if you build end farms in the sky they dont work, build it closer to spawn pad ..

The plan is to measure out the furthest they can spawn and mine out every block between there and the farm. It's a long project but it's probably quicker than a torch on every block. The water causes insane lag for other people, and I can't be bothered to mine for coal. I will grab a tonne of iron from my iron farm, get a couple chests worth of iron picaxes and kill four years of my life. Wish me luck

why not make a quick and simple sky mob farm, get a load of gunpowder from it, and use TNT? and water never caused lag , or at least on ps3 ..my whole entire end is covered in wter, i could have my endermen farm have the entity limit for hostiles, and 3 poeple and still no lagwant me to take some pictures with my phone and upload them here so you can see my farm? or even better, ill tell you its Pandas endermen farm design ..what design are you using?

here is the farm design my farm is based off of, except my farm doesnt have the drop mode and sperate exp mode, its just exp mode

Also, you could even just put a half slab on top of every block ... FYI- the under areas of the end and under overhangs would be a pain to reach in survival without fly ...

I have already started building it, I'm about half way through. I use docm's design but I think it's quite similar to the one you use

You don't have to put a torch on every block, just enough torches to prevent spawning as you would do in the overworld is fine. Just make sure the light level on all blocks within spawning range of the enderman farm are light level of 8 or higher. Also, if you place your farm directly in one of the corners of the end you only need to light/water/destroy 1/4 of the island.

Its super easy to figure out what area to light/water/destroy if you build in a corner, all you have to do is place torches along x 0 and z 0 in the end, this should divide your island into 4 quadrants. Just light/water/destroy the quadrant your farm is located in.

Also, getting the ledges under the end is a bit difficult, but not impossible in survival. after you've built your farm and lit the easy arears, just collect a couple of stacks of ender pearls from your farm (your should already be drowning in them) and use those to reach the ledges. Don't forget you can also use an xray to ensure there are no hidden ledges under the island that you can't see (you might have to dig through the island to reach those)

buyt wouldnt you need to light/ water / destroy 99% of the end becasue mobs can spawn anywhere within 128 blocks of you? so a corner is useless

The end is much bigger than 128 blocks. What he is saying is that you only need to prevent spawning anywhere 128 from the farm

The end is a little bit bigger then 256 by 256 if I remember correctly. So, if you build your spawner as far into one of the corners as possible you only end up needing to prevent spawning on one quarter of the island.
