Anyone else think head shots should deal extra damage?
While we're at it, maybe Zombies could receive extra extra damage with headshots, since that's like the first rule of Zombie killing.
I quickly learnt when I first started playing to not bother with head shots, however I still find myself lining up that perfect shot without realising I'm doing it. It just seems natural to aim for the head...
The only weapon in the game this would apply to is a bow since we already have critical hits with swords based on the player's momentum. As already mentioned, it would require the development of multiple hit boxes for each mob, which would be a fairly significant rewrite of the game code for very little difference for most players. Also, there are already different enchants available on the bows themselves... If you want to deal more damage, just enchant your bows. Lining up perfect shots will likely be a personal goal for some players regardless.
So? It could still be fun. But I see Up_Up's point with the hitboxes. It would be cool, but it would also take a lot of coding. And what about Ghasts, slimes and silverfish? They don't really have heads. So while it would be cool, I agree that there would be a lot to code for such a small feature.

Yep, same here. Couldn't say it better myself.
This is Minecraft, not CoD.
Stay fluffy~

Feels strange shooting a zombie in the head and not getting the headshot "feeling"
