So, one day when I was playing minecraft, I wanted to trap my sis in the nether. (She doesn't know how to build a portal, and we were playing split-screen.) So, I put TNT around the portal, lit the TNT just before I entered he over-world, but when I got there, EVERYTHING was deleted! The village, our creations, gone! And then, I saw a TON of firecharges just creating a long wall, floating in mid-air. They looked like ghast fireballs, but they were in a wall-like formation, and the were just hanging in mid air. I was able to salvage the map by quiting the game without saving it, and I tried to make the bug occour again, but nothing happened. The game was also EXTREMELY laggy while it all happened. Does anyone know what on Earth happened? I also lit the TNT with a firecharge, so, if that helps, yeah........ :$
Its probably just lag. A ghast or blaze might have fired just as you were leaving the nether, or during a save. Then when the game stopped, they froze in midair. Yeah, just like you said, if the game was laggy, then it was the lag that created the floating fireballs.

No, because it created a perfect formation of a wall. And it had a TON of fireballs. Plus, it didn't save because after everything, I exited the game without saving, and the whole map was back! If it had saved, the map would still be like that.

Were you playing online? I don't really know how the Nether loads, so I'm still going to say it was some weird lag spike. But if not, then I don't know what it was. Sorry
