Been taming breeding lots of dogs to prevent wolves from killing my sheep and have been having dogs randomly teleport to my position while seated. They often teleport into chest and I can't get them out without breaking the chest. Been trying to figure out the whats and whys. It seems that when the puppies I have breed mature into dogs they teleport to my position. Is this happening with other people or is there some other answer.
I've found this happens to both puppies and adult tame wolves, not just the puppies. I know this because I have made a house about 50-60 blocks up in the air with a pillar and ladder pieces to get into it, so there is no real possible way that wolves could get into it, and I've noticed that the wolves teleport into it once i get to the very top. The only time they won't teleport is if you are having them sit.
When any mob pushes them when they're sitting, they stand up for a fraction of a second. In that fraction of a second, they teleport to you, and then sit back down.
If commanded to sit they shouldn't do anything, but I've noticed if you have multiple dogs at least one will teleport to you if you receive damage by a hostile. It's weird, I have 4 dogs but only 1 will sometimes teleport to my location when I'm fighting something off and get hit. And the dog doesn't even attack anything. He just teleports to me to see what's going on and say 'hi'.
Yeah I gave up on taming wolves for this very reason.
Had 8 or 9 tamed and had them sitting in a fenced area where I thought nothing could get in or out and they would randomly teleport to my location.
Had to put them all down.
So if there is an easy way to stop this happening then I'd appreciate it the knowledge.

Yea the faster you move the more they teleport jump in front of you.
Either that or they just wait at the last place they saw you right???
