I got the Halo Mash up last night and checked it out a bit. I find this to be the most interesting Mash Up yet. I have them all and have played on each some. I liked the novelty of the Mass Effect pack but the texture is just difficult to work with. The Skyrim Mash Up is pretty good and I have done some work on that map like adding the jail to Dragon reach and a few other things.
The Halo Mash Up seems to be setup for PVP matches. but could also be used as an adventure map. the texture pack seems work for the theme. I went in on creative last night and have found serveral other things around the map that will lend themselves to an adventure game nicely.
At this point I believe this is the best Mash Up pack yet and is well worth the price. imho
This pack is pretty cool. I really liked the way some of the areas were recreated from classsic locations and classic multiplayer maps, like Blood Gultch. One thing that did annoy me slightly was that the person who made the BG section did not pay attention to the layout of the red and blue bases. When I was looking around trying to find the last music disc, I discovered that the layout of the red and blue bases were not uniform, so I had to fix the bases so that the layout in both was uniform. Aside from that, this world looks perfect for either CTF or PVP.

WIP 128x 64x, SEUS support, Mod support in the pipeline TEKKIT, FTB, the more support the more mods!
...but it's actually well made. I definitely the best mashup to date. The textures are actually interesting and not as drab and dark as the previous mashups. The premade map is pretty good. I'm not sure if I'm going to use it in survival but it has a alot going for it.
One of the coolest things tho... Put a pumpkin on your head. You get a cool heads up display.
i dont like it (its halo, halo sucks) please 4j make a gears of war mash up pack (gears is such a better game)

i think we should all use common sense and logic when we answer and ask a question but always stay open minded
just cause science fails to explain something does not mean its real (afterlife, big foot, ghosts etc..) does not mean its fake try to stay opened mined instead of closed
Halo 4 and Halo Wars are the only bad Halo games, the entire series does not suck.
That really has nothing to do with the mash-up pack at all....
As for the pack itself, I have not played Halo beyond the first game...and that was ages ago.
The textures look good to me and the music was pleasant to have playing while exploring the world included.
Now I can't critique the locations like I can in Skyrim since I have not played the games, but everything looked good to me.
Best out of the three, I'd say.

Overall, the pack is pretty good. They did an excellent job in re-creating many of the multiplayer maps and parts of the halo ce campaine. The only thing i don't like is that on the silent cartogrpher(giant island in top left of the map) there is no underground area of the forerunner structure. I don't quite understand why they would not have made it, there was definately enough space to fit everything. I also felt that they could have made the underground structure from the level 343 guilty spark, as again, the entire structure is underground and pretty simple in design, and it would have made an amazing spawner area. The snowy regions might have also been utilized a bit better to make the "assault on the control room" level as that one involved travelling through similar terrain.
So overall it is very well done, but it could have included more halo content.

Halo Wars isn't so bad, but I agree a better Halo RTS is needed.
Halo 4 on the other hand, is disgusting.
Does anyone know what soundtracks were added to the game? I know the Halo series is by far on the top 5 for best video game soundtracks, so I want to know what they put in.
it asked for your opinion and i said mine is that so wrong?

As a matter of curiosity, did you get the mash up pack? I've never played single player halo, and only a bit of multiplayer. For me it's not a super great game, just really: eh. Even so, I'd have to say this is my favorite mashup pack of all time. Mass Effect was a bit too small, and skyrim just seemed too plain. (let it be noted I've played neither game.)
But for me the Halo Mashup pack is awesome. I love how it has passages ways leading to different pvp maps(actually, I'm currently modifying these so they can be more practically used for pvp battles). And I love that I keep finding totally knew things that I didn't see before. And areas that I haven't explored. I also love how they populated areas that weren't part of pvp, with space ships and ATV's and light houses and stuff.
So even though I'm not a big fan of halo. This is, by far, the greatest mashup pack to date in my opinion.

I feel it's amazing, as it recreates classic Halo maps, and adds great skins. Somethings were not properly handled, however. The maps weren't perfectly done. To be exact, in the maps Ragnarok/Valhalla, and Guardian, in-game you can jump from multiple areas. In the mash-up pack you cannot. Certain areas are blocked from access in Sandtrap, and the Blood Gulch areas aren't proper inside.
So I purchased the Halo Mash Up pack yesterday and I think it is really cool! I think 4J did an awesome job on this.
So what do you guys think of the new mash up pack?

"Wake me, when you need me."
I think they decided to use the halo reach version of the bases that were on forge world maps such as hemmorage. =/
Wasn't Hemmorage the recreation of Blood Gulch?
