Look for it on the second tuesday of next week. Lol
Well I was thinking it was going to be the third Tuesday of next week, but maybe you're right. But it will probably be delayed until September 31st the way things are going...
Yeah, they would have probably said something on friday, if it was coming monday.
they are probably doing it as a suprise because monday will be the 10th day of cert testing

95% of teens would scream if Justin Beiber was about to jump of the top of the Empire State Building. If you are in the 5% that would grab a seat and some popcorn and yell JUMP! JUMP! JUMP! post this into your sig.You know you want too
just a thought. with the added support for texture packs and all the other stuff i'm thinking the file size of this update will be larger than usual. still won't take long to download though.
It just went into cert testing on the 9th. Hardly 10 working days yet.
u never know they might have ppl working on during the weekend.....

Wow that was interesting. I just went back in time through 4J's twitter feed all the way back from when the game released. The biggest standout to me is how much they have changed their tweeting habits over time. Back in the day, they used to tweet all the time, speculate right alongside the community, give insight into their discussions, give loads of info about upcoming updates, and even make guesses about when updates are coming and such. As time went on they got more and more cautious, careful about what they say, and less open about what they're working on. They also tweet less frequently in general.
I certainly don't blame them with all of the unjustified spamming and harassment they've dealt with over time. Still it was very interesting to see that transition. I definitely got the sense that whoever manages their twitter account eventually got fed up with all of the annoying hundreds of tweets they receive daily asking the same questions and voicing the same complaints over and over and over. It's kind of sad because there were people like me that really admired and appreciated their level of openness and community involvement and I feel like that spirit got killed by complainers (and/or lawyers).
Anyway, I just felt like sharing that with you guys. I definitely recommend going back through to read some older tweets if you have the time. Very interesting and gives a little perspective on where we are now. Super excited to get TU12! Soon friends, soon!

you basically took everything of what i was gonna say in reply. it starts off optomistic then all the annoying kids start spamming and harassing and next thing you know its 1 post every week. i too have " admired and appreciated their level of openness and community involvement" but so many people destroyed that over time
Note: im not really referring to kids but just people so if your a kid dont get offended by what i have said

it gets to a point where you can't rationalize with some of these people. I see it all the time on /r/minecraft360, and people asking if the update it out yet, even though there's a banner at the top that says it's in certification. Happened with pocket edition as well.

Seems to happen with just about any popular game waiting on cert testing. People are just to lazy to look and see if the questions already been asked and answered. Ive seen a lot of gaming twitter accounts go the same lines as j4, its not the first, wont be the last. Too bad there isnt a filter on there to group similar tweets together from user replies, it would probably help the game developers out a lot if they could do that and help keep them from getting as annoyed from the repetitive 'is it out yet' like the little kid in the back seat going 'are we there yet?' Over and over again.

I'm 22 so no worries. But yeah, it is probably mostly spoiled brats of kids that are the worst offenders. No offense to the kids who have manners, patience, and bother to read things, but those are really rare these days.

ive noticed its a lot of teenagers. like skittles said you cant rationalize with some people, i feel bad for 4j they've been doing a great job and even now are very attentive to the community, i think they gave too much early on, and when you give people stuff so willingly they feel entitled to get more. its the way this new generation thinks. instant gratification with no patience or real effort on their part.
you see it all the time. people posting threads/questions like. "will the build height be increased for all worlds" or "what are mash-up packs" when all they'd have to do is check in the updates thread or for that matter just use google. but they want everyone else to answer their question. is a sad sign of the state of society, when kids cant do their homework without searching for the answers on google.

I was thinking something along the same lines. It seems that kids these days seem to have an aura of entitlement. They shouldn't have to search to see if their question was asked before, or if its been answered. They just throw it out there and expect others to accommodate them, without any snide or dismissive comment.
I don't know. The way I grew up, you didn't ask stupid questions. My dad would point to the encyclopedia and say "there's your answer". Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe its the same number of complainers as there's always been, just the internet put them all in one spot. You don't see the non-complainers because, well... they don't complain.

yep just like if you give a stray cat food it will always come back even when you dont want it to come back or in this case if you give a person info they will keep asking for more instead of looking it up themselves

Yeah I dont understand why so many people complain about the release of the updates. Just wait and play something else. Maybe its just me cuz I never thought I would have the chance to play Minecraft without a gaming pc. Now that its on Xbox ill gladly wait 2 or 3 months for an update but again thats just me. People need to be patient and be glad they can play this game at all.

Ive go over 360 games for the xbox360 (i bought them all myself), and im bored with most of them waiting for some of them to lose that bored state. The open world ones i like the best though, so much one can explore in them. The open world of Minecraft has been fun, as i can create my own worlds to play in, ive done several large scale projects in it so far sense i got it (tu11) and have had fun in it even with it being a blocky game. While waiting for the tu12 update to see how much the world is going to change ive generated several different worlds that seem pretty nice, and am going to try loading them up totally unexplored once the update hits, even regenerate a few of the seeds to see how much they change up with the update and if they are better / worse.
Im old, we will leave it at that, but i enjoy all sorts of games from the simplest to the most complex. Sense Skyrim, Minecraft has been the one game thats kept my interest for the longest.
well for The people who got bored of minecraft i figured something out. if you have your music and sound all the way down for about 4 months why turn turn it up for one day. i did and i actually enjoyed the minecraft music and sound for a day. or if you dont have your sound and music off, then turn it off and play your own music like i do.

I'd like to point ou that 4J just posted that they will let us know when TU12 will be out of cert testing. (The exact same thing they posted last week.)
Take that for what you will.
