Lol the lighting is absolutely horrible... I hope you had nothing white in your world, because now itll be yellow and brown... Oh, and glowstone no longer glows... have a look at it at night time, looks exactly how it does in the day time.

It's a lot better than what we had before, minus the bugs. The smoother day/night transitions are worth it in my opinion.

I liked the old lighting system. I always used the sun and moon positions to tell me if its sunrise, sunset, or if its noon. I cannot tell anymore and(quickly) I already got killed because I though it was noon when it was really sunset. Glowstone is black, trees are black, glass is black from a distance, cobblestone is brown, white wool is tinted brownish yellow, nothing good came out of this update, not even the pistons(freezes game).

Your display must be **** to be honest if that's how things are appearing to you. I'm looking at everything you just listed right now, and none of that is true.

Up is down. Left is right. Cats and dogs LIVING TOGETHER. Mass hysteria.
Actually... what you said is worrisome. I haven't done the update yet, but am now worried about the lighting situation.

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

What he said is completely untrue on my end. The only places it is to dark is where there is no light. Glowstone is perfectly fine, glass is about the same at a distance, and trees are just darker because the shadows in game are calculated differently. He is right about wool, but it is not bad at all in the sense that a totally clear white wool kind of looks out of place IMO. Also using more delay in your contraptions easily fixes the pistons crash.
I dont know all my interior spaces also have a brown tint to them, which while that may not be horrible for the wool means I have large brownish cobble rooms

That just means you need more torches! LIGHT DAT ROOM UP BOY

The glass is horrible from a distance, the glowstone isn't visually bright in the day, leaves by the tree is dark, cobblestone is brown like crap, I hate the lighting system overall.

Either your settings or TVs suck... Because it all looks amazing for me.
I'm sorry you all aren't used to it yet or don't like change.

Nothing you've said has been the case for me, you obviously need to either adjust your graphic settings or upgrade your TV.
Really wish people would stop with the new TV crap because a lot of us have the issue and we arent all on older TVs i assure you, the TV is fine, the settings are fine being you know a TV its quite easy cause I can make the people on the programs look like they do normally and thats good, if a setting woould need to be radically altered just to get a single game to work fine then something is much rather wrong with the game.

No. Most modern day television sets come with preset modes, including Game modes, which in turn adjust color correction, saturation, and even refresh rates to better accommodate video games. Obviously your television set either lacks said mode and you have your saturation, color correction and/or brightness (gamma) settings out of wack, or your television set does have this mode and you simply don't have it enabled. Either way, what you are supposedly seeing is not consistent with what I personally, alongside quite a few people I've asked at different communities, are seeing.

No it doesnt, it has the mode its in the mode every other game on every other console looks fine, its ONE game after ONE update that PREVIOUSLY looked ok, its not hard to figure out where the problem is.
Let everyone know that their work is greatly appreciated! You've all done a great job with both the game and keeping in touch with fans like us.
Cheers to 4J
Lighting is great. I was always so bothered by how blocky it looked.

what ever other square would need a torch to get it remotely to the previous colour, ad it isnt gonna help the insane glass reflectivity either
