Agree. It certainly doesn't work the way I thought it would. I pretty much only use it now on survival island worlds that have absolutely no trees... as the only somewhat "unlimited" source of wood.
He's a little slow on updating this. 4J tweeted they are finishing up TU12 and it should be out in cert testing this week
this week only started 2 days ago so i dont think he is really off by much

That's not really news They already told us they were in bug fixing, and this latest tweet only tells us that they're further along in that. When they announce it's in cert, that'll be a newsworthy change

I added it to the list anyway. It's the closest info for "soon" for a time estimate.
Default texture, but either way I like the way they've done the interface. Looks like you'll be able to pick a texture for a world when you create/load it.

Yeah I worded my post badly. I just meant that it's our first sneak peak at the feature, not that it was a new texture pack or anything. Here is a higher resolution picture actually.
thats cool but i am now starting to think mash up packs are just renaming texture packs. because it doesnt seem like there is anything besides the texture pack and nothing else

possibly but what it that thing to the left of the railroad and under the door (iron door) looks like a donkey or horseoh never mind i just made the pic bigger its just the nether fence lol

that's a pretty awesome interface i like how they laid out the blocks and even show water/lava flowing. pretty awesome .stoked that they are getting close to cert testing this mofo.

Mash Up packs will do more than the textures.
4J have already said they will come with skins, music, change the UI, and the textures of blocks.

I though the same thing at first. I was wondering why there was a horse standing there but knew that couldn't be right.
