I hope they make the texture packs free like on the PC version...............which I highly doubt they will
well the issue there is that they dont make the texture packs modders do. so they are having to now pay emloyees to make them now. so they need to make money to keep them employeed. to make a profit and to give microsoft its kickbacks. so i doubt they will be free. but i doubt they will cost an arm and a leg either. the game itself is only 20 dollars. and so far skin packs have reached a total of around 20 as well. with all 5 plus the extra ones. summer of gaming. beasts and warriors. etc. so theyll probably be a little more than 2 dollars a peice. but hopefully less than 10.

Although it is true they need to pay their employees, and hopefully well, it is worth noting that, as they love pointing out, they have sold over 7mil copies. That is 140mil less development costs and everyone who gets a cut down the line sure, but it still means they have long ago amortized the base costs and made a sizable profit. That also does not include the profits from the micro-transactions.
And if they somehow didn't make enough gold to make a dragon blush, they need new accountants.

I hope they do charge something for these packs. There has to be some incentive to keep producing these packs and updates. Just as long as the cost stays reasonable.
yea thats what it sunds like to me. so maybe the mario and zelda resource packs will get 4j xbox versions.
We won't be getting Mario and Zelda Resource Packs for the very same reason we won't be getting Mario and Zelda skins on the Xbox 360: Legal Reasons. Sorry.

WIP 128x 64x, SEUS support, Mod support in the pipeline TEKKIT, FTB, the more support the more mods!

You may see the odd free one for promotional purposes... much like the couple of free skin packs that have been released. They will likely charge something for most of them though. Also, in addition to the speculation about paying their employees... they probably have to pay something to obtain licenses to use things like music from other games. Also, the bottomline of ANY business is to make money for the owners and shareholders. IF a company doesn't do that, it's out of business.
are you serious?! anvils was the main reason why i was so anxious for TU13. i have a daimond pickaxe i dont want to lose and if i break one more thing it will break. i have to wait for another update to get anvils

Saw two tweets from 4j this morning. One a comment that the themed world from a mash up pack comes from a save file (hints to me the possibility of being able to share saves in the future.) the second is that the first texture pack is going to be part of a mash up pack, and it will not be released until AFTER the title update.

It is, however, another indication that they do intend to keep updating the 360 Edition for awhile yet.
