That picture, i notice the mob heads, stone, something besides the apple (behind it a bit) which is red as well (It may be an apple but it doesn't look tha way and it doesn't look like redstone dust as redstone dust has a point too it) and something that looks like a rail behind the diamond. Though i don't think its a rail as its too 'thick' looking on the ground.
Honestly, the only thing I'm excited to see is that chiseled stone bricks are available, even if only in creative. I never was a fan of how the 3D item entities looked on the PC, they turned a lot of the dropped items from 2D always-facing-you sprites into flat models with paper-thin sides, which look weird on things like diamonds.
Still cool to see the new update chugging along.
They already tweeted no wither in this update, just the mob heads. I am stumped on the thing above the diamond though.

and as for that red thing thats above the apple. the only thing i can guess is raw meat. for the people who will say i am wrong, think of it this way. we have had diamonds since the beginning of minecraft and they still have that in the pic. and they have apples in there too but thats not new. i just think they threw in some raw meat just to keep us guessing because if you pay attention they could have got a better shot where everything is facing the screen. but they chose not too for some reason

They mostly still are. They made all the item drops 3D models, but then did not update them to look good as 3D models. But the difference between the sprites we currently have and the 3D models is -- take the diamonds, for instance. In our current version, the diamond sprite always faces you (except from above or below), so you only see it on the ground as you'd see the picture of it in your inventory. With the new 3D models, it spins in place on the ground, has the diamond face on two sides, and if you move around it, you can see the flat sides of it.
If i"m not mistaken, mob heads are a rare drop from monsters. Can someone clear this up for me?
In the PC version, only the wither skull head is a legit drop in vanilla survival. The rest of the heads need to be modded in.
On the Xbox version, we won't be getting wither skeletons this update, and all the heads are available only on creative.

Guys, the drop behind the diamond is a minecart rail... not cobble stone walls. And guys, if you look at the back left of the picture doesn't it look like a different type of sandstone?
Also thats not carpet, you can tell it's flush with the wood planks thus making it wool.

Eh... its not a rail IMO...its too 'THICK' looking and kind of roundish than rectangle like.
