Lookin at that pic they don't look like corner stairs at all to me. I see slabs that look like they can be placed on the top half of a block and not just on the bottom half

There are definitely upside down corner stairs in dark wood at the top of that small house/room.

Like the other person said, the corner stairs are there in the dark wood and light wood, In the corner. That is not something you can make with slab & stair combo.
As for the other thing, no. That is just an illusion, as upside down slabs were placed for it to look that way. Well that is what it looks like to me...:D

Not sure about dates, as that is still a mystery, or rather not said. We are getting a lot of different things that have been confirmed in the couple of pics.
A new tutorial world, upsidedown stuff, auto-arrange stairs, golems, ocelets, jungles, redstone lamps, jungle wood & everything that comes with it, growable cocoa beans, texture pack support (Not know if we will get them on TU12 launch, but will get them in the future), and able to place things on top of upside down stuff... The last one only a torch has been shown which gives hints that redstone might be able to be put on them as well. So not really a whole lot, as I thought you already seen the first pic. So far still awaiting some more info or some kind of release... Patience...lol

For me though the height is enough, it is one thing that separates further from the pc edition, being such small worlds. Gives a different feel for gameplay than the pc.:D

I, for one, will love taller worlds...I'm not sure if anyone asked this yet (or even knows) but will our old worlds get the height increase, or will we need a new world?

I am sure even our old worlds will get the height increase... well after load up the world in the new update, and then save... That much I am sure of, but I can see a lot of people complaining about it when they start to make a replica of NY...>< so much lag..... The more blocks that are placed in a world the more lag you might get when playing. after all the new format is more efficient due to it calculating air blocks easier... So mainly it will have more focus on the actual blocks.. hmmm... that is the way it was explained to me or that I interpreted....

yea it only makes sense that all worlds will get the build height. if you think about it it already there. if you go into creative you can fly up to 500. and on survival u can easily jump over the standard build height and also you can place certain entities (torches, levers) above the build height. which seems to mainly keep blocks from being placed. so it seems to me the build height is already there. has been for quite some time. it just needs to be "unlocked".
there's also a strange glitch if you place a torch above the build height then destroy it it will keep the lighting even after the torch is gone. just a weird fact i thought id throw out there. i beleive a save and load will reset the lighting though.

Growable Cocoa Beans!? Sweet!
The Jungle Biome is going to be awesome! New additions means more creative builds and stuff. Though I do wonder about one thing... Can Jungle trees grow naturally as they do whenever you see them within their respective biome, or have the same coding as the other species found in Minecraft??? By that, I mean do they on PC?

I am not aware of anything like that on the pc edition.... I would assume they would grow just like the other trees do, with one exception. 2x2 saplings will grow the bigger taller ones naturally. Although it needs a whole lot of space and takes a while to grow without bonemeal. Jungle trees are the most space consuming tree out of the 4.
From what I know I would have to say no. I only know 2 games within the genre that does that at the moment... Would be an interesting feature to add, like when saplings fall that automatically plant themselves after a while if not picked up, assuming it has a spot to do so...:D I mean that for any tree really, but would be intereting none the less.

I could have sworn hearing that idea once before. Can't remember where though...
Especially for players who rarely replant what trees have been cut down, this would be an interesting feature. Would feel more like a natural world and less of a "everyday video game".
Now, other than the Cocoa beans, the Redstone Lanterns will be something I shall mess with alot in the days to come.
Oh, that and the Iron Golems... I have plans for them.
i just realized today that i have cocoa beans but my map is filled so i will have no trees to harvest the cocoa beans this is a problem for me because this world is my main solo world i have had it for a very long time. also i wonder how big this update is truely gonna be if its taking so long to even say when its coming out. also by any chance when you burn your map and make a new one does it start out as a new map or does it save all the stuff you have explored because maby i can just destroy my maps and make a new one then when the update comes maby it will change.

Maps do not matter. They only show you the stuff you explored while you have a map in your hand. You can explore every single chunk of your world without the map in your hand and it'll only load up the parts when you had the map in your hand. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

On twitter they said it's taking so long because they're changing how the coding works:
I'm assuming the coding is this "ANVIL" I've heard so much about?..
I mean, from what we've seen, it's a lot, and that's just the stuff they've chosen to show us. Plus I assume it's taking a while because they need to test how the higher build limit works, and if it causes much lag, etc..
