There are many people who play singleplayer all or most of the time. For them at least one texture pack would me much more useful than the many skin packs that are available.
(And you are welcome to imagine me saying this like my avatar on the left.)
I agree with him a texture pack would be a lot better than the many skin packs they have put out. A couple skin packs is okay but this is rediculous
yes forget skin packs i have over 100 skins. we need texture packs. minecraft need a new feel to it

I think that texture packs will exist on theXbox one, it is easier and makes more sense, perhaps we will get them on 360 as well, but at this point I would rather get them on Xbox One, being that I plan to switch over without much of a look back, why dwell on the old game when the new one has sooo much potential. However I will still play on 360 at least until it releases on the One, but i am not going to pay for a texture pack on the 360 edition. But hey maybe that is just me.

But plenty of people do, and microsoft expects people to slowly migrate over, that is why they are supporting the 360 for the next few years. But i think sony is just switching over cold turkey, but i don't know for sure( or care for that matter) i like the xbox one and can't wait to see what minecraft can become with cloud computing and next gen hardware.
I for one hope there are texture packs on the 360... as that is all I'll be able to afford at this point in time. Seeing the price of the One is disheartening, but expected. However that is not really the reason I choose at this time not buying one. They have not given me much incentive to get one. It is kind of a nice thing that there will be more games coming out for the 360, as well this edition of minecraft continuing to develop. I am sure there will be a point that they will stop on the 360, but I can only hope it is not soon, or not soon after the release of the One.
There are still things that could be added and things that could be optimized. Besides I like the lil' worlds we have, makes finding things a lot easier in the end. No pun intended. The only increase to anything I ever wanted we are actually getting in the next update, as well quite a few trinkets that i know i will love using...
upside down stuff, redstone lamps, jungles, cats, golems...That is to name a few, but they only presented a little so far. Hopefully there will be another pic or list of something or confirmation of other features. That would be nice to know.:D

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
I see they posted they will be releasing updates for the 360 as well as the xbox one which is gonna be good for 4J seeing as most the xbox forum talk is people leaving to go over to PS4 which doesn't even have minecraft to my knowledge yet. So guessing most of those people will keep playing on the 360 or forget about minecraft and be playing their PS4 apparently. Doubt anyone that plays on XBL will notice much of a difference honestly though with as many gamers that will stick with microsoft. I'm personally thinking its time to go PC.

Because people aren't happy with MicroSoft concerning the following:
Fees concerning used games and trading games with friends.
Kinect having to be connected to the console.
Design of the console.
Internet verification every 24 hours.
The price of the console.
No backwards compatibility.
Aside from not having backwards compatibility itself (still unhappy about that one), the PS4 has none of these restrictions, and the PS4 costs $100 bucks less. Okay, I'll grant you that having to have PS Plus to play online wasn't a smart move, but it costs $50 bucks a year, whereas a year for XBL is $60 bucks.
Oh, and it gets better. I was watching a vid on YouTube title "Xbox executive Don Mattrick speaks his mind on Xbox One bashing - E3 2013". Essentially one of the topics that came up was about internet connections. Mattrick's response was "if you don't have stable internet, stick with the 360" (I'm not sure if that's how he phrased it, I could be wrong).
Basically people are not happy how MS is handling this whole thing. Their feeling as though MS is acting like an overbearing parent, which I totally agree with. It seems, to me at least, that MS is not making any effort to please their gamers (the restrictions are clear evidence of this), whereas Sony is.
On the flip side of this, let's not turn this into a console flame war. The admins will lock this thread in a heartbeat. I like the 360 and I like the PS3 (I have both and enjoy them a lot) and the PS4 (don't have this yet). I'm not happy with the XB-1 and with how MS is handling themselves right now.

Fable III free.. that is kinda disappointing since I had already bought it like a while ago last year. I am unsure what to think of any of this as what am I to say except that I usually end up keeping my older consoles to begin with.
One thing I do know is that more likely not buy either, due to money concerns. Besides there are a lot of games out there. Just glad 360 is going to continue getting updates for now. I am just curious what extras or things they are going to pull forward in this next update, if any...Patience... long breath and waiting...lol

I don't think you understand this. The Xbox One has to "check in" online any day you want to play a game. IF YOUR XBOX ONE IS OFFLINE FOR OVER 24 HOURS, IT WILL CEASE TO FUNCTION except as worlds most expensive DVD player.
Part of the problem is the individuals Internet connection, but the bigger foreseeable problem is Microsoft's network. Can you jus imagine the temptation to hackers to bring down Microsoft's network when it would render every single Xbox One inoperable? Microsoft sell 20 million consoles, hackers take down network, 24 hours and 1 minute later 20 million Xbones are boned.
oh yeah i misunderstood. i thought you were talking about old xbox and technically the hackers did hack the ps people

I knew about the 2 a month one... not that I am sure I will be able to get any of them, that all depends on which months I have live gold. Unsure what to make of assassin's creed searies, but worth checking out. Not really all that fond of Halo much, but still an ok buy. The story for me is better than the multiplayer in the latter one. Would be the only reason to get that one, or at least get it on my hard drive.
They might continue for a while, which is good enough for me... All I ever wanted in game is pretty much in the next update, or at least what I have seen in the photo. That and auto-arrange stairs... Beyond that anything else is just added material.
Since I play both pc and xbox versions (primarily single player on pc, due to limitations of my laptop) I will have a both worlds to explore for a long time yet, even after they stop updating the xbox version.:D
After all, like I mentioned before I usually keep my old systems, and never really trade them in since I like play a variety of older games on them on occasion.:)

I believe the only new biome coming is jungles.
