As far as I'm concern, their not that useful except for food. Perhaps can be great for a farm build, but under a practical use... Well, not so much. How will the PC version compensate for that you ask? Well, like they made uses for carrots, how will the common spud play in it's role in Minecraft? I say make it into a new weapon!? Into ammo for a long-range device known to all as the Potato Gun! Capable of launching the common spud at accelerated speeds to defeat even the toughest mobs in Minecraft!!! Not even the Ender Dragon can withstand it's fury when having the common vegetable fired away and up into its nose!!!
Eh.....................
.........................
You know, disregard the potato thing... I went onto a rant about riding on either horses or pigs, to talking about shooting vegetables.
How embarrassing of me...
Aw, I liked it... the image of an enderdragon with a spud up its nose just made my day. lmao.
I don't care about the next update. I just wish they would make texture packs.
They're adding them soon. They retweeted a tweet that said they should add texture packs, so I'm thinking it's going to happen soon.
Anyway, I have to say I would be cool if 4j gave us updates every day or so on what they were working on. Even if it was a simple bug fix, I'd find it interesting to find out what bug had managed to find its way into the game and what it entailed. It'd be so much better than sitting here waiting for them to say something. There's no way they'd actually do that, but it's kinda fun to think about.
4J Just posted this pic showing some of what will be in TU12. I see redstone Lamps, upside down steps, jungle wood/jungle wood planks etc, cats/ocelots, iron golems, and torches on upside down stairs.
Anything else?
Saw that they've confirmed build height increase too!
I gotta believe we will get slabs as well. The code to flip stairs and slabs is essentially the same so it would make zero sense to have one and not the other.
We can confirm based on the picture that we aren't getting the "smart steps" that auto-conform to corners. If we were they surely would have shown it on the corner of the house's roof.
I would like to know if we are getting redstone updates that allow for redstone over glowstone and upsidedown slabs. Those features are pretty important redstone updates. Again, I would presume so based on the presence of the redstone lamps (since they were in the same update) but maybe not.

true enough... as far the upside down blocks having redstone on them I guess the torch is a hint at that, but not a confirmation as a whole. Can't even speculate on glowstone as that is not even shown in the pic as you indirectly pointed out. yeah the auto-arrange corners would be nice, but I think I might be able to understand if it is not in this one... It does take a bit of coding added to stair blocks, however this is only the first pic shown; so we will have to wait and see...:D

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.

I saw this on twitter and for a sec I had no idea that this was for the 360 Edition. Im so pumped for all the new features this will bring to the 360. I know some of this is what we've been waiting on for a while now!
For me, TU12 will be the best update, so far. Although, corner stairs would make it much, much better. I hope it's one of those "small features" 4J Studios bring forward.
I wonder will this update make the cd version of minecraft coming out in the first week of June. O.o
Definitely not. They would need extra time, just in case there's a game breaking bug like last time. Heck, they probably have the discs already burned and ready to ship.

I was in Walmart the other day and saw the game sitting in the $19.99 bin. I thought it was already out. I guess someone there put it out a week ahead of time. Having worked at Walmart once, I can say that the stores do get them a few days before the release date.
Has anyone thought of the fact that if they added Iron Golems, maybe they're adding sieges, too?
I really hope not.
I've never played through an actual zombie siege on the PC version, I've seen it happen in Let's Plays a lot though.
It doesn't seem like it really adds a level of challenge, it looks more like it just adds a level of annoying. It'd make for an interesting game mode, like something similar to tower defense, but as part of normal gameplay, I'd rather not.
Especially considering the size of our worlds? Imagine you spawn in a survival world with only one village on your map, and a zombie sieges overruns it before you get a chance to interact with villagers or help with fortifications. Assuming the trading system is coming to Xbox, you've now lost any chance to use trading, barring using creative to spawn more villagers.
Idk, I'd rather just not see zombie sieges. Zombies hostile toward villagers sure, give the golems use in that regard. But no sieges.
I say adding the carrots (and the spud) would be awesome for my worlds because I would make a cool detailed farm.

Well at least we get jungles and upside down stairs so far from the pics... Slabs would be good too...
torch on upside down stuff that is a good sign, although would be nice to put a torch on the flat side of stairs as well...hmm..
Well it is a good pic on some of what to expect..:D

I forgotten about them being in Minecraft. I'll be looking forward to them instead of the usual torches surrounding a block of wood...
That and the Iron Golems! Be nice whenever I build a base again, to also construct guardians for watching the place while I'm away.
