Don't worry about being disappointed. If they don't add them in TU12, you have the reassurance that there will be another update (the one where they add horses) where they could possibly add them.
I know. Even if some of the features I like from PC never come to the Xbox, that will be fine. I'm mostly waiting for what is going to be different. I've never fought the enderdragon (no real desire to), but it was neat how they changed him, but I would like to see something more out in the generated worlds.
Actually the corner (auto-arrange) stairs were not introduced till I believe sometime before 1.3.2... but after the 1.2.5, if not being the 1.2.5.
Still though like the other post I actually am looking forward for the upside down stuff, and hoping they do add the auto-arrange stairs, assuming they make it a bit more easy to do. Or at least simple. Also the jungles...:D villagers actually breeding... that would be nice too...

Actually corner stairs were 1.4.2 as well. They may as well just update us to 1.4.2 because it includes some awesome stuff.
hmm.. well mind as well been 1.3.2 >< since how close to it that was put in... thanks for the correction.
Although there really was not much in 1.4 that interested me a whole lot... Main stuff I was interested in are all in 1.3.2... I do agree there are a few things from 1.4 I wouldn't mind seeing... cobble fence... but whom is to say... Can only hope...:D

Yay, jungles at last! Maybe the long awaited doubling of the map height? I wonder if the features brought forward will include allowing cocoa beans to grow on jungle trees (which I believe came onto the PC in 1.3.1) and jungle temples?

Got on, saw title update to thread, smiled. Lol This x100 no doubt. Looking forward to possible jungles (hope it is no doubt) and the upsidedown blocks (stairs and slabs) is more than welcome in my games. And for what the mods/admins were saying about carrots and potatoes... I will take both. More crops the better. Gives a nice aesthetic appeal to farms and more variety.
And for the horses... eh, makes better sense than riding pigs. lol Yet I do wonder if that would pointless for the worlds are smaller. I know they could change things to compensate for it though.
Jungles and horses...two things I never cared about.
Here's hoping I don't get biome-shifted to a Jungle~
what about anvils. did you care for those

Not sure how the xbox will turn out, but in the PC world there wasn't a biome shift to already generated terrain like when the "ice age" hit (hehe).
I honestly don't think you'll need to worry...but if I'm wrong... D: i hope not...!
Ugh, I hope not. I had a nice village world on an old 1.7.3 map, it was the only world I ever had that was the result of a lot of different people working together, it was nice and quirky, and the whole map was planned out for different towns and cities linked together by waterways. I'd already built ports for every spot I wanted a city at, including floodlocks once I learned the redstone mechanics. Everything looked and felt great... and then the update came out and it all froze over. It wouldn't have been so bad, except EVERYTHING was planned around boat traffic.
So I built a new city... exact same thing happened. It was infuriating. xD;
Now I have my latest creative map going, and once again all the ports are set up... if I experience another freeze, my heart will probably never be in it for a full map build again.

I think the change to the Anvil file format ended the biome shifting, as it saved biome per chunk. That means if a chunk was generated as a desert, the game would treat it as desert forever. However, I see a possible issue here, as (if we get the Anvil file format) it is being implemented at the same time as a new biome is entering. If 4j is smart about this (hint hint if you're reading this, 4j!), the first thing the update code will do is save worlds to the biome they are now before changing the biome generation code (if they can somehow make that happen before it). If they don't, then the game would treat old worlds like their new biomes (with jungles added) and then save the chunks as they are. But that may not be possible, I'm just guessing. I don't know much about coding.

I hope for your sake it doesn't! That's heartbreaking when your designs are crushed like that...I've made multiple worlds and not really sticking to one on the xbox since all my friend want to play their own maps...and I just join who ever is on.
The PC world, I lived underground...so my nice area where it wasn't frozen before...froze over above. Living underground though...it wasn't so bad. (you don't see it regardless)

I think we're all just guessing atm. I know when we shifted to "anvil" you have to convert your worlds. I didn't see a biome shift there...but then again...PC worlds are a lot bigger then Xbox...so no clue how we're going to handle it.

4j mentioned once that they were looking into ways to let us control biomes. It would seem convenient to implement that into TU12, so if people's biomes do get shifted, it's reversible.

That would absolutely be amazing! That would be great if they added that to TU12.

Actually, in a way they can be put in as is... Some jungles are small...>< At least the ones I have generated... I have only generated 1 big one that would be a 1/4 of the map, but name a biome that doesn't already do that beyond the mooshroom one...lol
Height has no bearing on this as they don't usually go beyond the current limit often. Think of hilly plains that have tall trees...lol Basically how it would be. Anyway they probably will make a modification to it in a sense personalizing it for xbox. After all the generation already has become quite different from the original one of the same version.
Can't wait, or well I guess I will have to just to have those trees.:D

Yeah I've been switching between the two games... mainly... right now can't even do anything multiplayer at the moment...>< Hopefully I'll get that back soon enough. Mainly been awaiting the upside down stuff cause that is my focus, since I am leaving room even in my eldest world for those sort of things as well the one I am working with now. Terraria fills another gap for a certain mood that is quite different from the mood that puts me to playing minecraft. You haven't been on when I have been playing it..lol Also there are my computer stuff so I have been side tracked a lot lately by real world things... Patiently watching here at least...:D
