i wouldnt get too excited for mods coming to xbox, because i really doubt they will come in for a long, long time. if ever.
if you want mods, i'd just buy the pc version, or, wait for the new Ouya console to be released, and mod minecraft as you please on it.
im actually a hell of a lot more excited to try out minecraft on that console than i was for the xbox.
(also, please god dont try start a flame war because i mentioned another console)
I know you understand, but after reading through a lot of peoples posts, I don't think they understand.
From what I've read, it seems people still think we'll be allowed access to user created mods. There seems to be quite a bit of misconception going on. I think everyone should just stop using the word "mod" and start calling it expansions or DLC.
That's why I usually say "Mod" DLC, because it is still a "Modification" to the game.

Anything and everything we as players gain are directly from DLC. There won't be custom anything because the Xbox is not a PC, and that's where people are finding it hard to deal with. Anyone can pop in a flashdrive to mod their game, but you'd be risking corrupt files and potential ban from Microsoft. It's not that Xbox can't handle it; it's that the Xbox version is meant to be its own game away from the PC version. Just because it follows the same updates with relatively close ports doesn't mean the Xbox version is a clone.
The only thing I can see custom really is a skin generator, but that's still cutting it close.

I change the date of when I make an update to the most recent so you know the last time it was updated, which was today.
