thats like buying a used car and tellin everyone you just got a *NEW* car. When in reality its just new to you.
i think 4j or microsoft whoever is developing MInecraft Xbox 360 edition is just milking the bandwidth they take to give you absolutely nothing. some new blocks , enchanting, etc. all done one by one to get as much money from you and everyone else as possible.
if youve ever wondered "hmmm why is this taking so long the game is already made for PC?" the answer is money. because there greedy and lazy. i frankly wish i could get a refund for the xbox edition i have. because i know how much more fun i would be having with the pc version witch is very wrong. why restrict people in a game of infinite possibility? its just not right.....
It probably is to show the creative menu, and another shot of the sandstone stairs among the other stuff added.
No that is not end stone stairs, that is sandstone stairs. And the nether brick stairs is right next to it...lol
Now this looks to be good. At least we are getting the colored wood stuff. That is 1 step closer to mostly what I am looking to see in the game...
The only thing I don't like it the addition of the new gravel texture... I am going to miss the old one...

Well to me it looks like you would see on a metal step ladder or metal step you would see on a fire engine or trucker's semi(the step up to the door)... So in a way, to me it is just not gravel, but more looking like some sort of metal...>< From what I can tell in the pic that is looks to be same as what the pc did... But it is my perspective on it after all...lol
Also it might work well if your doing..say a modern build? Sort of reminds me of concrete mashed with asphalt.

Except I don't do modern stuff...>< Reason for my dislike. I can see it used for modern things for sure, just not in my creations assuming I don't find something to use it with. I prefer build most things pre-modern and kinda with a sci-fi fantasy.... Although the latter bit I haven't really done anything like that, unless you count that magic part of the builds. In mind that is not actual.
And your welcome...:D One thing I look forward to is more ways to customize the look I have in mind...:D

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
I really don't like the gravel texture, i can't use it for anything, Colored wood, thats really awsome, and crafting netherbricks, this update just get better, i'm impatient.
I am disappointed that there will not be upside-down stairs. They add so much detail into the game that they are almost necessary for me now.
I agree with you there. You never know. They could always hide them in the code. Which means you can put your save on a flash drive and add them in to your invitory with an editor.
But in MC in general, they should add corner slabs. It would allow for the user to place sideways slabs too. Tekkit has it on PC and it allows for much more detail.

Yeah, the roofs of my houses are going to look SO much nicer with corner stairs added. Right now I use slabs in those spots and it kinda looks awkward.

I actually suggested auto-arrange stairs, so it would not be so many blocks added... In the way that the pc does it, it seems fine, but maybe make it more xbox friendly like they have been doing with many of the other things.:D

As you and Tamorr have stated, I to am looking forward to these features. More so than a Ender Dragon to be honost. Lol (Only good for bragging rights that thing..) With upsidedown stairs say hello to b-e-a-utiful arches for interior and exterior designs. I do hope that it will be next update (not the one coming right now since that is already confirmed not to be)
It would be nice to be able to pick blocks textures individually. I'd just stick with the original gravel an cobblestone textures.

A sound pack too. I'd like the Steve Damage Grunts back, rather than universal bone-break sound.
yeah the mix N match approach seems like the best way to go about it.That way when you buy other texture packs you would effectively be adding more to mix N match with. The more variety you can do the more pleasant things are. Well at least in my opinion.:D

Well, 4J just tweeted that its not in cert testing yet and that means its over a week away at least.
Not completely true. They could say it's going into cert tomorrow and no one will know besides them. For all we know, it could be in cert already and they didn't tell us. Like how they did with the 1.8 update. 4J are some unpredictable guys.

they tweeted that theyd announce it so... idk. at any rate, it still takes about a week for cert testing so my estimate is still correct.
