But didn't Enderman and that spawn in old worlds? So villargers SHOULD spawn. Hoping anyway.
This is because of how they spawn. Enderman will spawn in the world, same as any other passive and agressive mob. However villagers are the special sort. They don't appear out of thin air like the rest of the mobs. Only on initially finding the village do they ever spawn. At least that is how it was on the pc edition. And as I have mentioned before, the only way for a villager to grow or even populate is to have many doored up buildings and at least 2 villagers in the village.
That is pretty much how that part is unfortunately. Now i doubt it since I haven't got the update yet, but who is to say how 4J reprogrammed them...

I thought mob generation (including villagers) was partly controlled by biome code and the seed. So for instance mooshrooms will only appear in locations where the seed dictates there should be a mushroom biome ( can't remember the real name for the biome). So if the seed says there should be a village at location x,y then villagers should spawn there now. There might be a thing where you have to unload/reload the chunk before they appear--which I think means you have to get 500 blocks away from the village.

almost forgot about mooshrooms... They are the few that do spawn in only certain biome. wolfs spawn in I think only forest and snowy forest. Most the rest of the passive mobs spawn anywhere there is grass... The mooshroom biome is a special biome as it only spawns 1 creature type, hence the mooshroom.. So on those islands, there is no threat of agressive mobs.
So were are these villagers then. I dond have any villages because i am i am using a seed from release. I do with recent updates have changed landscape, muscroom cows, snow and wat not but no npc villagers. the world seems so dead without them. Can i generate a village or villager? i read something on the pc forums that villages spawn at large flat terrain.
Of course not. You answered your own question. You will have to have a village to spawn initially with they in order to have them. On the pc version is was a long time before you were able to create your own village. Initially the villagers were only found in newly created villages from generation. So on those old maps that are at least 1.8.2 with villages already spawned, there will not be any because the village has been already generated. Makes sense why villagers will not be found on a 1.7.3 map, that should have been obvious, unless of course you somehow got one to generate after this recent update.

Thanks for your reply but i wonder if it is possible to generate villages.
Actually no. not at this time. If 4J decides to pull forward that part of it along with trading from 1.3.2 then we might have it in the next title update. Only time will tell on that one...:D
That is if you were talking about creating your own, of course you would need 2 villagers regardless...><

So I know it's a bit early and there probably isn't a set date yet but does anybody know when the next update will be released, if that can't be answered which is highly likely the does anybody know when the next skin pack will be released.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Well I think you can expect a TU7 bug patch in January, perhaps early February (people take Xmas holidays after all) and then a "final" prescribed update in March, which would be the "PC 1.2" equivalent long heard about, and another patch a month after that.
Beyond that it seems all bets are off. I'd personally be happy for the updates to stop there for quite some time, because I'd like to invest heavily in a single world for say 6 months rather than this restarting every two months business.
I have to agree with the break bit, as it is tough enough trying to find a world just right to my liking. Especially if they decide to add more biomes/structures... That is always the thing that is sometimes nerve racking when searching for a new map, is the solid fact that the seed # in essence does not mean a thing. Old ones do not work with new generation. So plain and simple it is tough finding something. And taking a week or two to find one is not usually fun since one should be playing to enjoy, not generating map after map. Of course there are those that enjoy doing that too, but.. eh not me...:D

Does anybody know if they'll add the end in the next update? I was really looking forward to this one because I thought it would have the end, but I guess not.

No one knows for certain but based on past experience and on what's been said, my best guess is that they will first release a bug fix update in middle to late January. They are probably also already working on the next major title update which would include the end and that would release sometime after the bug fix update. Unless they finished working on the end and decided to move it into the bug fix update (they have slipped in a couple game features in past bug fix updates) but I definitely wouldn't count on it. All signs do point to it being included in the next actual "update" update, though. As for when that update will be released, probably sometime in February or March, but its really all a guessing game. I'm definitely looking forward to it, though.
The patch is first... Then the update adding other things will be next...
after all in the prior times they always just did a patch for the current update after the update.
They will have the end but it will be in the update not the patch.
the patch will just patch up things in this current update, or at least far as I know. It will be a while before the next actual update comes, so sit and wait or play and wait til then...:D

I'm sure this has been mentioned before. But, I recently paid for the game on XBOX360, I really like it, besides the limit of the area, has anyone heard if they will be changing that and making it like the PC version? would be very nice, and in a way, I think if they did that it would be better then the PC version (my personal opinion.)

Well for one the xbox edition will never be exactly like the pc edition, as 4J is adding their own twist on it as the go and will be going a different direction than the pc after the 1.2.3 pc equivalent... And as the above post has said the only way we would get even a small increase would be more likely the next xbox generation. I am happy with the size personally, although would be nice to have the height upgrade after anvil is added in, but there is no guarantee that it will be added. Sure jungle biomes are big, however I can see how it would work in this small world, as I don't think those trees go up beyond the 128 marker, but still go up pretty high.
Either way it will be interesting to see what they do with the anvil upgrade when that patch eventually hits xbox. And even more interesting to see what else the have in store for the game beyond the 1.2.3 that they are still updating to.:D

1. Are there any plans to make potions stackable?
2. Are Book and Quills going to be in TU8?
3. Will Spawn Eggs be stackable?
4. Are there any plans to add Monster Spawners In Creative Mode?
I'm really looking forward to seeing these things implemented so I can finish an epic adventure map with lots of quests and such.
I think that it's been said that book and quills won't be coming in because of the current xbox message input system (Didn't know what to call it
EDIT: Ok I kind of feel a little dumb right now as the title says XBLA. I need sleep.
