Actually that wouldn't be really a biggy since if you have villagers before that update the villagers will trade things after the update that that does happen in. At least that is the way the pc version did it. So no worries beyond having actual villagers there.:D

Hey! Remember that time I said the update could come before Christmas, and people were all "ain't gonna happen" and I was all "could happen" and then in the end I was right and all other humans were wrong?

Nope not at all *sarcasm* But anyway I never really look too much into when the updates come, just so as long they do come along nicely. They get here when they do. It is good news that it is finally coming to fruition.:D

Wow, the new additions for the game came fast. My survival world won't be as boring now with Nether Fortresses and hopefully it'll keep my 1.6.6 world alive.

Technically you won't be getting nether fortresses in your 1.6.6 world because the nether generates as soon as your world generates.
Been getting some conflicting messages on that one. I'll be able to test it with my 1.8 world because I've never been to the nether in it. If I get a fortress, we'll know that's not true!
Same here. I haven't even constructed a nether portal yet on my 1.8.2 world. Keeping my fingers crossed that I get a nether fortress.

Me as well, I have mined obsidian and built a lovely portal room, but haven't placed a portal in hopes of not losing out on a nether fortress for brewing.
please let the powers that be know that when announcing an update, that giving us less than a week til it drops is probably the coolest and best way to do so, but it does not build up anticipation.

In the update, if I find a nether fortress and build a portal inside of it and then go through that portal, will I then end up in a stronghold? I haven't found any mine shafts or strongholds yet in any of my worlds.
