are you serious?! what is 4J thinking? everything must be symmetrical they can't just mess up a texture like that! lapis blocks was something i always used for decoration and now i can't.

4J's twitter header was changed to the television static earlier today. They usually put that up right before a release.. What it is could anyone's guess. I'm hoping for a new texture pack. It's been quite a while since any of those were released..(hint, hint)

I see no reason why the story mode being made by TellTale Games won't be added to XBox as soon as it's ready for the PC. Perhaps that's what 4J are working on now? Makes sense for all versions to be released at the same time so that people play it rather than just watching someone else play it on YouTube.
Story Mode will very likely be across all platforms since it's a standalone game. Since it's separate from minecraft and not a new game mode, like walking dead and other telltale stuff, I don't see a reason why it won't be on xbox at release.

Are you sure it will be standalone? The name Story Mode implies that possession of Minecraft will be necessary and that it will be available as a DLC add on.
Not too keen on that new texture pack but I suppose they are aiming for a wider variety. It's strange, I've got four of the available texture packs but always settle on using the standard one.
Yeah, it's a separate game.. One good thing is that TellTale games are pretty good at what they do, Walking Dead was really good. Expect a game broken into episodes like other games they make..

Ultimately some people will like it. That's ok..4J deserves the support, they've done some awesome work with console minecraft. But I'm not liking this texture pack at all. I really was looking forward to a new texture pack and I have to say I'm disappointed. I was hoping for something more mature than this and cartoon, and candy.. Now we have three texturepacks that are silly and bright. Please stop. Give me something I can build with.
I guess it comes down to speaking with my wallet. Sorry, gonna pass on this one. Enjoy yourself if you like it, but it's not really interesting to me.
it doesn't look that bad, i'll probably buy it aswell, but before i do can anyone screenshot what the Tools look like? i don't want to run around fighting enemies with a parrot again... or mine blocks with a glove mitten on a stick.....

Actually...I like it more than those two. It's strangely appealing to me now that I looked at it in certain places. And to a degree, it may even be compatible with my adventure maps.
Triforce grass is pretty sweet. All in all it's not terrible. Probably not something I would use for every build the way I abuse the Fantasy pack, but not as specific as the Candy pack which I never use.

I like the paintings in the pack, they look really nice. Over-all the texture pack has a definite south-western Navajo/hippyish vibe to it. It's still a kid's texture pack though which is ok. Not everything has to appeal to all players.
Yea we need faithful 32x IMO, nothink looks quite as good as that TP
Faithful 128x, im still waiting for 4J to make a Terraria Mash up pack, i feel like it could possibly be the next one, but i have been saying that for like three mash up packs now.

I don't get how marketing research, and what not works at 4J. They've clearly stated that their top selling texture packs were in fact texture packs based around the more mature audience, and went on to name the Natural texture pack. That being the case, all we have been seeing in the last year are more extreme kiddy like ones. It seems to me that if I were in charge of sales and what not, I would be pushing for texture packs that were more in demand, such as Faithful, and the much requested Doku.
I know that they can't give us a copy of these packs, but it doesn't mean that they can't do something similar. Ah well, here's hoping the next pack will be worth buying.
Well at least they have something similar to doku... Which is the Fantasy pack. Not the same, but is quite similar; at least in concept.
I saw the more variety in texture packs the better. More to choose from. I don't know about mature packs, as that is subjective. However I can see why the Natural one is up there, as that is higher resolution and well more natural to what we would see on earth. Something like that....
I would love to see more sci-fi, doku similar ones myself, if not touches on the rpg fantasy universes out there that are similar in the way of Final fantasy, zelda, and dragon warrior. Or some of the more modern variants of those tipical genres, which we do have a few. Loving the steampunk, and skyrim ones... At least what I saw of the trial editions. I will more likely buy when able to add credit to my account....

Agreed. I would prefer having another texture pack similar to Natural. Perhaps a Faithful 32 equivalent, or better.
