You should just update the game. There doesn't seem to be anything major except for the horse despawn so far. So you can still go about your usual business without any issues.
Unless you like to use redstone. The updated redstone mechanics seem to be quite buggy, the biggest issue being a bug that renders all pistons in the world useless which makes almost every complicated redstone build useless for the time being.

True, I forgot to mention that one. However I don't believe it's a bug. The same thing apparently happened in the PC version with the redstone update because it changed how red stone worked (I believe). That's actually why I have not done any sophisticated red stone builds on my world because I knew there was a high possibility of this carrying over.
Quote from SoulEmpire»Mobs spawn with amour ... Can pickup armour ...
No sign of commands .
Baby Pigmen .
Baby Zombies
No signs of Skellie/Zombo horseys
No sign of pigmen jockeys
Maps are now empty maps in creative mode ...
Adventure mode (Kinda useless)
I've been able to name a Baby Pigman Dinnerbone , it went upside down and all . But I can't reproduce that anymore
Donkeys spawn from horse spawn eggs ...
Stampy island ...
Fireworks ...
No sign of mesa or roofed forest .
Spruce looks like dark oak ...
Castle ...
And much much more !
Not sure what a pigman jockey is, never heard of that one. baby zombie jockey I have; and that is 1.7. Also I thought that the zombie horse was in 1.7 as well, but that I am not sure of... Haven't checked to see on the wiki.
It is obvious why we didn't get mesa or new tree biomes or any of the new biomes. That is all 1.7.
Actually the dark oak is a lot darker by a couple shades. Spruce is suppose to look like that. You think spruce is dark, well... it is like the comparison of milk chocolate and dark chocolate, there is a couple shades difference between them.
not sure what you mean by much much more, unless you are referring to things missing, which technically is not a whole lot. 1.6.4 has a lot already. We will probably get the 1.7-1.8 later depending... we'll see on that.
If by chance you are referring to what is in 1.6.4, yes much much more. The main reason of my reply, as that last bit is confusing with the list of things you presented that some are 1.6.4 & some are later....O_o

Okay, so how can one make mob pick up weapons and armour? I already know the whole "get the better item" part and that only certain ones can get items, but I have had zero luck with any zombie or skeleton picking up anything in any difficulty.
I don't believe it's an actual bug really. I built an auto farm and noticed that it did that but it was a simple fix. Don't let the redstone touch the pistons. So many redstone builds have redstone next to pistons and dispensers. Move them just a little bit over and they will work again. I realize that means you have to rewire your entire build but if you want to play the new update then plan to fix it all. It's a good update really worth playing and if you don't like it save the last update and that world on a jumpdrive so you can play whenever you want without losing it all.
Heres an odd question: Is it possible to breed named horses and donkeys?
yes.i am almost positive.
My main post i came on to post:
Mobs can notice you while you're invisible. this puts a huge problem on many of my maps considering allot revolve around me spectating while invisible and players killing mobs.

Did you know that stained glass exists in the code? It's fully functional too, there's a few videos on youtube. There's a redstone machine that you can build to get these newer blocks, but pistons aren't working properly, so there's no way to get them legitimately.
Playing around with chests, hoppers and furnaces. I had a double chest on top, two hoppers going into two furnaces, into hoppers and then down into a double chest. I noticed when the two hoppers pulled from the double chest they split the items evenly between furnaces. That was pretty neat.

Great to be back....
it's like this every time rake, we get our update, everyone stays quiet for like a month, then people start talking about when the next one will come out, then once we hear about the update nearing, we all start chit chatting like today's the last day on earth. then after we get it, we all quiet down and repeat.
on i side note, i never realized i joined on 12/12/12

Better than the date I joined...>< now that you mention it.
In a way it is like a dishwasher. Put all the stuff in to get clean(bugs), let it run (cleans), and even it goes through a second cycle to rinse off the dishes (finalizing), then set to dry (awaiting release); After all that they are taken out (released to public)... Well in a manner of speaking. At least the dishwasher is better adjusted than a laundry machine... Especially if you don't pay attention to what you put in; multi colored clothing you didn't think would happen, when they were suppose to be whites. ><
Anyway I am just glad updates are still going on, and am patient enough to await them; helping out when I can. At least this time like the last one were not very many major ones. Well not to me anyway, as I mainly wanted the hay bales more than horses. (I have pigs for riding if I wanted to ride around, more entertaining for myself.)

I feel the same way, both about updates and horses. But I was really hoping we'd get bunnies this time around.

I think I worded that wrong now that I reread what I said. "At least this time like the last one were not very many major ones." I was actually refering to the bugs. And this time there wasn't any major ones, at least for myself. Just wanted to clarify that just incase it was missed.
The update itself is major for me, since it brought a lot of things to the game. Even if hay bales are still my favorite thing from them beyond slimes in swamps and redstone stuff (which includes hoppers and the like). Not to mention some of the options before starting up a new game... So yeah the update was major, but with not many major bugs; at least not game breaking, just like the last major update. Not many in that one either. Well at least for myself.
So just making sure what I said wasn't misunderstood or well articulated badly, as I tend to fail a lot with that at times. lol

Honestly, I'm surprised that the Redstone doesn't break in my first map of the series. You can go through the while thing without error. Only in the defunct Nether portion does it freak out for some reason.
I can live with this and heck, the über lag actually extends daytime for my world and makes skeletons essentially not fire at me. The heck with witches. I'll wait until they spawn along with everything else.

Did you actually see one pick up an item or simply spawn with one?
EDIT: You'd think that after all of the wiki pages that I've read that I would've known that mob griefing affects item pickup.
