Actually less than that since they in that time were make the conversion and program/game for the other consoles. So technically it is from when they mentioned starting work on the next update; which was I believe somewhere around before microsoft bought franchise. Something like that. Was in a tweet I believe by 4J, unfortunately I don't know how to bring that kind of thing up, as I don't deal with twitter at this time.
I would say at most since TU14, but in the least would be that I mentioned above. Who is to say when actually they did start on the update but they themselves.
Anyway it is just nice to see and await what we know will be in, as that is a lot of stuff as is. Anything that they decide to pull forward would be a bonus, if they do. They have most definitely with each major update pulled at least 1 thing forward. At least from when I picked up this version. So it is always interesting to see what was. We will see, and I will not be disappointed if there isn't one this time. After all did I mention that is a lot of stuff heading our way.

Mesa Biome and Roofed Forest Biome (Per a PS4 Add for Minecraft that was issued)
Possibility of up to 23 total biomes (Per a screen shot showing Adventure time Achievement)
That achievement is already in the Xbox One version. It counts the technical biomes like river, cold beach , etc. I don't have my hopes up for any biomes being brought forward just yet.

My hopes are that we get this update before this year ends, we're too close to this TU!

Yah but agian it's just a rumor so I wouldn't get ur hopes up intill it's offical.
The last three without textures are actually horses , this is a spawn egg without textures , on PC , this is a Giant Spawn Egg : Horse spawn egg :
As much as I want Guardians and Endermites and Tameable Rabbits . Not happening , those are most likely Horse , Mule & Donkey spawn eggs (not in that order)

The bugfix thread states we're on TU17 , the Padware thread states we're on TU16 , the patch would mean TU18 ...

padware recently updated his thread and listed 2 Title Updates that I don't remember happening and skipped the one that I do remember happening... so yeah, confusing is an understatement. It used to tell you what the TU was from the Help / What's New Section...but now it doesn't...

Yeah... I'm not holding my breath on any of those being brought forward...I'm just listing them for completeness sake mostly because there was some serious speculation regarding it...or that it might not be to involved to bring a specific feature forward.
Yes, and I didn't see any new wood blocks or saplings added from the creative menu tabs on the video... so I doubt that ANY of the new biomes will be included in this next update. It seems highly unlikely at this point... Like Command Blocks... which I do not see on the Redstone Tab in creative where I would expect they would be placed if they were in the next update.
I also did not see any stained glass or stained glass panes, and again, unlikely those will be included as well.

Did you actually watch the vid or not. If not, you've no right to criticize Echo. He posted a clip of a twitter post that someone sent him who was at the PSX event and was talking to 4J staff.
Echo is not flaky. I've been following him for sometime now on YT and he's NEVER ONCE posted misleading info.

Echo's reports seem's pretty legit and his facts sound pretty solid from their sources... but it is still 2nd hand information from someone who spoke to someone else... It does help bolster my confidence that it might very well be in cert testing, and perhaps maybe will come out before Christmas this year, but like Cire360ยป said, it is still rumor until we have a more clear confirmation directly from the source.
Yeah I watched it, but dude, seriously 'someone who was at the PSX event and was talking to 4J staff', is hardly proff of confirmation. I'm basing my info on actual tweets from Roger Carpenter and 4J staff, NOT off a someone whom was talking to joe blow whom is a sister of a cousin twice married to his aunt.
Point is Echo, knows just as much as we do, he knows no more then we do, and has no connections to M$ or 4J.
Ok I just want to be sure, so someone please confirm this. If I name a mob, it won't despawn ever even when I leave my base for quiet a long time, unless of course killed? Cause I have a creative world with a zoo and of course I'll have my survival worlds and the big farms, I just want to name all the animals I have so they won't despawn. I especially want to know because with leads coming i'll just lead a wolf and bring it home in my house, name it (so it won't disappear ever If it's true) and then have it just wander in my house. The best answer I can give you is... "It is supposed to work that way." That was the functionality of the Name Tags when they were first entered into the Java Version by Mojang, so it stands to reason that it should work that way when it is ported over by 4J. But we have no direct way to confirm that for certain until either 4J directly confirms that OR it is tested after the update rolls out.

Ok, thanks. I guess you're right. Idk what I was really expecting to hear, I guess I was hoping that someone who plays PC would tell me whats up so I could get an idea. Your answer is just as good as any though.
On another note, im excited about stained clay. Been dying to hear something about it and was beginning to think it may not come. I hope they look like the colors they are supposed to be unlike PC version though, I didn't see it was in a texture pack when they showed a picture, all I saw was clay lol. Can't wait for the update, i'll finally be able to get back into MC. I found a nice seed too, perfect because a village is nearby, you spawn in a forest and there is plains all around with nice ponds and stuff. Really perfect for people like me who love building country type houses with a ranch and all.
I play the PC, and once you name a mob (hostile or passive) its NOT supposed to despawn, and about 99% of the time it don't. However once in awhile it will. Also not sure if your aware of this but you can't 'craft' name tags, they have to be found in dungeons and what not. I think they can also be fished out of the sea but don't quote me on that.
If you want to name villagers you'll need to have a second player, the second player should trade with the villager, while he is trading you can safely apply the name tag. Again there are a few issues with name tags, but most of them have been ironed out now in later versions for the PC, only time will tell how well they preform on the 360, and if they imposed any limits. My guess is that they will count towards whatever is receving the tag, be it hostile, passive or villager.
Leads on the other hand are a bit....funky, and behave oddly at times, they often break (especially when going to and from the neither). They are rather fun to play with however as there is just something about hanging a sheep from a high ceiling and watching it dangle about. But as I mentioned they often break without any reason, at least on servers, I haven't played with them much on single player worlds, except for leading a horse around.

Yet the change log section has TU18 on it. So I would assume TU19 is the next one.:)
