Locked repeater in that picture as well, can anyone make out what the fence thingy is on the weighted pressure plate?
thats just random junk on a weighted pressure plate.

I see no locked repeaters , I see comparators . The 'fence thingy' is a day light sensor .
I think the locked repeater in reference is the one near the daylight sensor, as that does not look anything like the comparator; nor does it remotely look like the repeater that is attached. Maybe that is how the "locked" option looks like when active. that is what looks to me, and more likely a guess.
Overall it is nice to see a lot of the redstone stuff showing in this one. Unsure what to make of the shadows in the left portion of the screen, as they look like normal mobs to me; especially the cow printed shadow one to the right of the zombie.
As to the one mentioning locked chests, I have to agree that is hard to determine from this pic, as there is no regular chest next to one. The redstone leading up to one of the chests is not a way to tell either as that more likely is to determine if there is anything within the chest or not. I am assuming that even regular chests give off a redstone signal when items are in it. Which means in the very least chests are now giving a redstone signal.:)

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
Yes, that is a locked repeater coming off the daylight sensor which is locked by the adjacent repeater.
Locked repeaters loose their back torch which gets replaced by a small bedrock textured wall when they are locked.
Also, chests do not generate a redstone signal without using a comparitor to check the chest for items in storage.
The fact that redstone signal is feeding into the chest implies that it is a locked chest..
but isn't conclusive proof.
what exactly is a point of a locked chest. i heard it was created for a prank and was never removed.

I believe that Greg meant to say a trapped chest, rather then a locked one. Trapped chests do generate a redstone signal whenever they are opened or closed. However the biggest advantage to them is that you can place them right next to another regular chest. This is how PC users create a wall of double chests, by alternating a double chest with a double trapped chest, but I'm guessing you already knew this.
Does anyone have an educated guess on the release date? Looking back at previous TU releases there doesn't seem to be a pattern. Does anyone remember how long after 4J started giving us screen shots that they released TU16? A Thanksgiving weekend release would work for me!
There is no such thing as a locked chest . Don't you mean trapped chest ?
Ignore my dyslexia... yeah, I meant trapped chest.
.................
Anyway, if I were to guess by the teasers I've been seeing lately, I'd say that Thanksgiving week would be a bit premature for an official release...especially since it hasn't gone to cert testing yet, but late December might be a viable target date or possibly as late as January, but I feel that February is too far out since we've been getting teasers on this since mid-October... it is hard to sustain 'suspense' in your target audience for that long a period of time especially for a game update.
I think that I'm going to agree with ubergine on this one, the target date of getting out for the Christmas rush makes good business sense:
They will aim for Christmas. Judging by the pics released, they're further along than I expected and may even hit it. Even if they finished the features well before then, they will squash bugs and release it roughly December 20.

Built in Easter Egg where mobs named "Dinnerbone" or "Grumm" were flipped upside down.
Possibility of being brought forward from later release (1.7.2 release):
Also check the updates through the XBONE page they have a more up to date confirmed list straight from 4j for the TU19.
Can you provide a link? I just went to the respective XB1 Twitter Update thread and found that the one we have here appears to be more comprehensive and detailed... so I think I must be going to the wrong page if theirs is more up to date than the one posted here.
The update after the update ? Hmm , I wonder why they've held off fixing these bugs ...
Also , (not so) random picture time , showing points of interest :
Hoppers , droppers , comparators , locked repeaters , golden and iron pressure pads , firework rockets/stars , tnt cart , possible trapped chest .
Is that a golden block in the 4th slot , because it seems too 'yellowish'
I can't positively ID that yellow cube. It could be yellow wool, a block of gold, or even stained yellow clay. As to the 'iron weighted pressure plate' you circled, that could also be a snow cover too, or it could just be white carpet (although not too likely, it appears too thick for carpet).
I'm pretty sure that the minecart on the tracks over the first chest is a Minecart with Hopper.

Well I'm sure that it's the iron pressure plate. Only because he is holding it and snow doesn't have that texture. It looks like the iron block texture and I assume snow will look more like a snow block texture. But hey that's just what I see.
There are a 2 key things i'd like to know and that we will never be able to tell from a screenshot, but i'm hoping they make it in.
The first being that I really hope they implemented item behavior changes in respects to when an item is contained within a block it 'rises' straight up until the first air block it finds, this will make item elevators possible.
The second thing i'd kinda like to know is in respects to items and portals, will we now be able to transport items through portals? Are they going to be unloaded and saved if the neither or end is not loaded? More importantly will items that enter portals contain their same movement speed and direction as they did when they entered. Will we be able to finally move villagers around through the neither and so on. Kinda important stuff here IMHO.
I know many will shrug this stuff off but some of these features changed how MC was played and IMHO is just as important as other key features of the coming TU.

Important one there IMHO, however I think that's a 1.7 feature.
See: and
You are mistaken, it was in 1.4.3 that items received the new mechanic of climbing straight up. Not 1.7, however it did go through a number of changes upto 1.7.
Another thing of note is that the screenshot has been doctered with, the shadow at the top is actually a blur that has been put over the biomes showing in the distance. This is most apparent by zoming in on the right wing of the plushie (or left wing looking at it fromt he plushie her perspective), you'll notice black squares that interupt the wing pixels, a clear indicator of the black shadow actually being a blur that's been slapped on hastely.
Conjecture time! Now this is where it get's interesting, what is 4J trying to hide? Stackable snow? Then again that was shown in earlier pics. Would and could it be the 1.7 biomes? That'd be trully amazing! It would make sense too with postponed world enlarging option (for X1 and PS4). I'd so be getting myself an X1 for Xmas if that's the case.
though i don't like speculating over simple blurs i do hope they add Podzol soon.
