when are they going to come out with a dark ages type tp. im getting bored of the fantasy one. the skyrim mash-up is not what i was hoping for.(some of the skins are cool though)

Until more information is known, there is no reason to create a separate XboxOne section. The Xbox360 can host the One content all the same. The only reason there is a separate PlayStation section compared to the PlayStation 3 is because the PlayStation section was created first. Vita was rumored to run the PE version of the game, and beyond all else, no information has been released to otherwise remove the original section. When information is known, you can expect the Other Platform sections to change a bit, but no information on it because we don't know what to expect with the new console editions.
So far, the only differences for the One Edition is that they will have bigger worlds, more people in multiplayer, i believe they just annouced save transfers, and rumored to have servers. The content of the game is still the same though, and no reason to discuss essentially the same game in two sections atm.
They can at least tell us how much bigger the worlds and multiplayer will be. I only hope the worlds are nowhere near as big as the PC version. It would be impossible to find anything and extremely easy to permanently lose my home.

Well, I'm not on Twitter. I hate it. Although I'm sure their only response would be "We're working on it!" However I did notice that 4JSteve viewed my profile on this forum a few days ago. I don't know what that means but maybe they are taking notice.

yes believe it or not 4J checks this thread more than you think. if your really bored you could look through the pages and find them. from the time ive been on the minecraft forums ive seen them post about 4 or 5 times. but they are always reading our posts. maby not every single one but they do read them.

I'm always pretty amazed how slow forums are to do the completely obvious.
Have one console section or two divided by Sony and Microsoft if it seems people will argue.
There's nothing completely obvious atm to do. With the PS4/XboxOne/Vita on the way, why change the console section up at this very moment if it will more then likely change again in possibly as little as a month? (this is an exmaple, no one knows when the new system release dates are) There is a lot of discussion that takes place before a new section is added, and believe it or not, 4J does make requests of us.
In the one console or two Sony/Microsoft areas, have "general discussion " "creations" "updates" forums covering everyone platform, then "seeds" divided by console generation and "find players" type stuff divided by platform.
This site already has ten thousand sub forums, it's awful. There is absolutely no reason not to clean it up now.
Discussions have been separated for bug report reasons. It has been shown that the consoles have their own bugs to deal with. Mashing the sections together right now in the current state will add more confusion for us and for 4J when reviewing bug reports.
Without trying to seem like I'm saying "no no no", what I'm trying to say is most of what you listed above about the sections and what could be merged and what shouldn't be I fully agree. I personally see no reason why Seeds, creations, and the update sections shouldn't be merged into one giant platform section. I have my own personal opinions of what happen, and we discuss what happens to the sections.
The big issues we have are bug reports, and exclusive content for consoles. How would this be separated without causing a giant "wine-fest" from one console to the next if Skin/Texture Pack A isn't on console P or X because of console exclusive rights (Halo and Gears says hi).
For forum suggestions though, the best place to discuss this would be here:
they only comment when they are excited about something or to clear up any confusion (example: people thinking that the wither was coming in like at TU12) but when they see a bunch of people complaining they silently watch, take notes of the problem that is being discussed, and try to find a way to fix the problem. but i noticed that even though they know of the problem they still take their time to fix it. which is completely fine with me. basically they are in a way a silent member of the minecraft forums. or if a problem of confusion or something else gets out of hand they will come in to clear it up. they only post when they really have to is what im saying. and also as electricblooz said they could just not have news to pass on. this is just my theory (from what ive seen on the forums) on why they comment so little

I think their general policy is not to say anything they can't be certain of. Also, imagine, they would be bombarded with endless questions and comments and people complaining because they are ignoring one post over another.

I would say that the outrage expressed by people who feel alienated by the lack of communication has gotten out of hand! Not just on this forum, but everywhere!

not yet. ive seen what it looks like when it gets out of hand and i mean it really really has to go out of hand by a landslide before they intervene

Considering that you can now transfer game saves to X1, they're now linked.

Like I said, RUMORS, with little to no information there's no reason to make a section for "what ifs".
