Yeah this update has some bugs/glitches I've noticed. I've taken damage from small jumps and etc. Animals float on top the cobblestone walls and sometimes get out. Mining is very annoying as the blocks your mining pop back once your done a few seconds later and the pick still takes "damage from mining but you never get the block until the 5th to 8th time you tried mining it. I love this update though.
oh yeah that block thing bugs me so much. but even though this update is bug ridden ive never had so much fun playing minecraft.

Love the features added, but has anyone else had a change in the look of sandstone? I mean the normal sandstone block not the new smooth or chiseled. I play exclusively in the natural texture pack and up close the sandstone looks fairly indistinguishable from before the update, but at a distance it appears much darker or more brown. It seems like the dark edging and mortar lines stick out much more than before as you get farther from the blocks. It has drastically lowered the quality of my desert civilization.
I can't see to find anyone else who has mentioned this though, so some feedback would be nice. My guess would be either their lighting changes or possible rendering changes. Alternatively, this change in sandstone might be to highlight the difference between the new smooth sandstone, but I feel as though that change would have been listed within the changes.
At least there are tons of new blocks that will work well in the desert, but it will be a hassle to change all the preexisting blocks, and the sandstone stairs still give me the same darkening effect, which means they won't blend as correctly with the new sandstone blocks (which do not seem to have the darkening) . Which means moving on to quartz I guess? I don't know I'm crossing my fingers for a lighting bug.
the different colored leather armor sounds cool but seriously whats the point of having that when its one of the weakest armor in the game. i mean its really useless unless your playing on peaceful. why not of allowed us to die diamond armor? (BTW has anyone else taken fall damage from sprint jumping 1 block down because its happened to me several times)
I've had that problem where I drop 1 block and take damage. I even got stuck in mid air while trying to get to the bottom of the shaft that's under the desert temple in the tutorial world, and no I was on Survival when this happened. I get the feeling that MS rushed this update out the door to stay ahead of Sony. I've never had this much trouble before.
As for the Leather Armor, I think it's pretty cool, and it's a decent armor set. I think the reason that we can dye it is so people can have different colored armor, it's the only armor set you can re-color. The other reason is that I see Leather as something you can get fairly easily early on. Plus, it being dye-able and being a low tier armor makes it perfect for team games. Each team has an armor set with a specific color.
I don't understand why we can't paint the Iron Armor different colors, although I think they have a reason why you can't paint the Diamond or Gold armor (you really can't dye metals, you can paint them, but not dye them).

WIP 128x 64x, SEUS support, Mod support in the pipeline TEKKIT, FTB, the more support the more mods!
Do you have any ideas, did we get any secret things in this update?
By the way, does anyone know What I should do? I did port forward, enable UnPnP, shut the router down for 60 seconds.....still not updating. The same ol' NAT-error.
Back to the topic. Is enderchest blast resistant? Like blast resistant for TNT and such? And is there TNT traps on desert temples? If so, do they activate when a block falls into the pressure plate? Do we have the feature which allows blocks to activate pressure plates? I know you can now activate them with arrows. (By shooting the arrows with a bow).
The only secret thing I've found so far is the thorns enchantment from an enchanted book. I didn't have much time to explore the options fully in creative but I found that one. Which btw was not listed in any list for TU14.
I don't think anyone on here is going to respond/help with the NAT error thing. I think you will have to talk to a technician or do some extensive research on the internet if you're going to solve that problem.
I think since the enderchest is made from obsidian it should be blast resistant but I haven't tested this theory or looked it up. There is TNT traps in desert temples and dispensers shooting arrows in jungle temples. I don't think anything can trigger a pressure plate right now except arrows on wooden pressure plates. I think I've read that dropping an anvil on a pressure plate will activate it but maybe this was from PC version and we haven't gotten that ability yet, also not tested. Just any 'ol block being dropped on one? Probably not. It may be less time consuming to look up these questions you have about things in the update in the minecraft wiki instead of waiting for/hoping someone will answer your questions on here.

The natural texture pack the sandstone far as I know was a grey type hue anyway. At least the last time I looked, and never did blend well with desert sand. I might have to have a look again, as that is one of the few texture packs I have.
On note of the bug you are having, if it is one, 4J has mentioned there seems to be problems with certain texture packs; if not all but default. It is to be expected though with so many new items/blocks coming into the game.
The new lighting is definitely an improvement from what it was, as some, if not all those dark spots caused by certain blocks are corrected. However even in fantasy texture pack I noticed an odd blending when moving a little distance from a regular grass block. The edge of it would be black n white striped noise that sparkles in a way. So I would have to say it is probably just the texture pack's unique problem. Right now there are a lot more pressing things needed to be fixed. Although lighting or rendering is important, it is not as much with texture packs.
Well the way I see it. So I think I know what you are talking about....

They should have never said that the Xbox One version was going to be a launch window game. That time has since passed and all they've said is that they're still working on it.
Check out 4J Studios on twitter, Candy texture pack!
hmmm im wondering how that is going to look. i dont think it will be a good survival texture pack. and it might be good for creative. if someone just decided to make giant candy. but other than that i cant see how this would be anywhere close to good. oh well i guess we'll have to wait and see.

Think candyland
Chocolate Water, Peppermint stripe trees, etc. I expect it to be much like the Halloween TP.

When we say faithful 32x32 we don't actually mean use the pack by Vattic. We mean faithful as in keeping the textures as close to the original as possible while bumping up the res from 16 to 32. I believe in them. And I will hold my breath. Starting...................... now!
Don't let me die, 4J...... I'm holding my breath here.
4J cant put pc packs into minecraft so dont hold your breath
Actually they can. They just need to contact the creator of the pack and get that persons permission. That is where some of the difficulty comes into play for getting certain PC texture packs however. some have multiple creators while some, like the multiple Doku texture packs have dozens upon dozens of contributors. All of which 4J would need to contact and receive the go ahead to use the packs on the console versions.
Then there is the whole charging for the packs on the consoles. They have to decide if the PC creator gets a cut and if so how much, etc, etc. So they can, but the amount of work it would take is likely to large to go through just to get some textures which they could easily make something similar for use on the console.

Its a bit more complicated than just that. The creator would have to enter into an agreement with not just 4J but MS as well. It involves a lot of talks, meetings with lawyers, signing this, signing that, etcetera.
They have to decide if the PC creator gets a cut
They would have to, under penalty of copyright law.

Most of us know this, but to prevent any further confusion can we start calling it Classic 32?
One thing that is fixed with TU14 that I haven't seen mentioned:
I have a chicken farm using the basic water trench design. I use a set of dispensers loaded with eggs that aim facing glass blocks that, once spawned, drop the chickens right in the water. Before the update I noticed that once the chickens spawned from the eggs there was a high percentage of them that would get stuck in in the glass blocks and die. Ever since the update though, this has totally stopped and all my chickens survive! It's great.
Just putting my 2 cents here, im glad 4j followed up tu14 with a timely bugfix. (Thank you very much!) However i see a few things already not mentioned that im crossing my fingers here that is fixed, well actually a few.
1.) the mining/block placing animation that has been off since tu13 (why do they refuse to fix this??)
2.) villagers not breeding, i started a new world and am already down to just 2 and they will not breed. ( yes this is room in the village)
3.) villagers AND mobs getting stuck in walls and dying
4.) carpet, wool, and sand mining and placing is very low volume.
I know there are more but the first 3 at least are important to playing the game and enjoying what has been added and all in my opinion. I guess time will tell and they fixed these and hopefully just didnt mention them in the changelog.
In regards to the zombies drop change will they still drop iron tools as well and swords?

Looking forward to:
"- Changed Zombies rare loot drop to be Carrots, Potatoes or Iron Ingots."
Not looking forward to:
"- Changed repairing tools in the Inventory to only allow tools that are not enchanted (since you’d lose the enchantment)."
Noooooo! I really liked being able to remove enchantments via inventory repair
Oh well. Love the speed on this one, 4J! You guys do great work!
I think that's a record! I thought the "Silver bug" fix came out fast, but this...!
Hey, great job 4J. Thank you for continuing to renew my interest in this game and giving my an enjoyable experience each time.
