One more thing, whenever an update is coming and we start seeing a list of new items being added I'll go to the minecraft wiki site to learn all about the new items. That is where the information above came from.
I dont think the time for the piston to extend will change... what that tells me is the time from when the piston receives a signal to the time it reacts is doubled. You probably wont even notice a difference.
This seems like an attempt to fix some of the wonkiness with pistons.
Like a said earlier, 'll wait to pass judgment. That's being said, even if you are correct, such a change will still severely impact contraptions that rely on pulse limiters, etc. this includes certain flip flops and many BUD switches.
I've got stacks and stacks of leather from my farm that are begging to be used. So it didn't seem like that much of an issue to me. Is there a use for books apart from the bookshelves (decor and enchanting table uses)?

You can enchant the books....... then pick enchantments you want on whatever tool/weapon you want with the anvil. Certain restrictions apply. If you continue to have fun for more than 4 hours, consult the wiki for help.
The new enchanting will allow for incredibly overpowered weapons, tools, and armor. Though they still didn't add repairing. Or they at least didn't say they did.

i dont think its possible to enchant books.... i think you can only find them in creative, a mineshaft, or a mob spawner.

if they didnt im gonna be extremely annoyed because ive been using my diamond pickaxe for everything since i thought anvils were going to repair. isnt that really like the main reason they were made in the first place for PC to repair.

So I think, definitely, we will be able to enchant books ourselves. Now the ability to have multiple enchantments wasn't until 1.7 so we may just be only to put one on each book but that it so awesome as it is....... (mind blown)
So will we be able to repair items in this update or will that be added in a later update?
I was reading thro the comments n some 1 sed that repairing items came to pc after a later update.

One of the functions of an Anvil is repairing tools and weapons. I really wouldn't get carried away with this speculation on a half functioning anvil. It really doesn't make sense. I think we're all getting antsy with waiting..

If i have a sword with sharpness on it, can i put an enchanted book with enchanments on it and combine them? Also once i do that, if possible, i can then re-name it something like Awesome Sauce.

Microsoft must have (finally) reformed their certification process. Every single title update before this has always taken exactly two weeks. It's long been rumored that they would be fixing it so it didn't take so long so it's nice to see they finally odd it.

I'm hoping there are surprises with TU14, for instance since they are giving us nether quartz we can craft daylight sensors and comparators. Why would they not? We now have all of the required material, maybe those didn't come until a later update, yadda, yadda, yadda, but they could've just lumped them with getting the quartz in the same update if they wanted to. I suppose if there is going to be a big redstone update they'd want to save it for that but I think pretty scary is the next one we'll get and that would mean no big redstone update for a long time

Looking at the upper left screen, the anvil interface is shown. It says Repair and Name...So, yeah it will repair.

@4JStudios: Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition Title Update 14 will launch on March 26th at 9am UK time (less than 9 hours from now)!
Update is out tomorrow for xbox. It went through cert really fast.
Guess I'll be checking out quite a few of the new features, and resetting my nether for some of them.
