Village limit size is based on the number of doors within the village. To get the villagers to breed you must add more doors to your village, where a door is a house.
Personally I don't make houses, but instead create a large square structure, with doors all around the structure, with corner blocks, usually I try to have 10 doors per side so a total of 40 doors in total. Though you don't need this many, but it allows for a very large village.
Alternatively you could create a infinite breeding cell below the village which would cause the villagers to breed until they cap out.
thanks because one idiot villagers wandered about a half a map distance from his village so i pushed him to mine and sealed him away. so all i need is another villager. and what if i had no villagers do i just place the doors like you said and they will spawn?
also im glad they are adding wooden buttons activating by arrows now. looks like i'll be able to make my nuketown zombies easter egg after all. but im a bit dissapointed about the pistons being delayed but who knows it might be a good thing.

Here's hoping they say something about the Xbox One version soon. I've been patiently waiting ever since I sold my Xbox 360. I will buy the Xbox One Edition the instant it is released.
I said and mean for Xbox 360/PS3 and not the Xbox One
... and the implication of my response is that because the Xbox One will have a larger world that can accommodate teleportions, the Xbox 360 and PS3 will just get it also whether we need it or not.
remember, at some point this will change and mobs will be able to spawn on half slabs....
This is only half right, they will be able to spawn on 'upper' half slabs and stairs. That is to say if the slab is even with a full block they will be spawnable, normal bottom half slabs will always be unspawnable. As well glass and glowstone are not spawnable and will always be, at least in current versions of the PC.
Both night vision and Invisibility potions use golden carrots, in fact Invisibility is attained by adding a fermented spider eye to the night vision to corrupt the result.
Thanks for the reply. I'd be happy if they implemented them this update!
Everything in this update is making me happy! I'm already happy as is but now im even more so!
Whats knockback when drowning? Is that when you're drowning, you take damage and can't swim up because of it?
This can't come any sooner. I hope it comes before spring break is over for me.

They are in this update, I don't use invisibility that much, but infra-vision is extremely useful, especially when working under water. This makes it so that you don't need to litter the sea floor with glowstone to see anymore.
Im hoping that they kept some thing under wraps and that we will be surprised by a new feature. Either way im pumped.
I've got the feeling that there are many things not listed that will be in this update. I'm just hoping there isn't too many serious bugs that rear thier head.

Yeah knockback is what kicks you back the oppoisite way of the force, in the case of drowning it causes you to be pushed down deeper and can be a pain when your 1 or 2 blocks from the surface and keep being pushed down as you try to swim up.

No, villagers won't just spawn, think of it like this, you have a village with 1 villager, lots of houses with doors, are any villagers spawning? Or no villagers before you got one back, did any more spawn? I am pretty sure you're going to need two, I asked my b/f to be sure and when he said it like that it made sense.

I tried to spawn villagers once, I found online someone who said it could be done, said they have a brother that works for microsoft. So I built the monstrous house with everything exactly how they said and it never worked. I did read that they can be moved by rail and minecart so maybe if you have another village with villagers this could be an option for you.
Zombie villagers being added, so even on a map with no villagers at all, you can cure a pair of spawned zombie villagers to get them breeding again.
Yeah I was reading about this too and was going to mention it but I don't know about zombie villagers. So to have zombie villagers one does not need to have villagers in the first place?
Your first mistake was believing that. Never believe anyone who says that.
And I didn't really believe it, I had searched and I found no other information to support this claim but I had created a village as just another thing to build and wanted to fill it with villagers without transporting them or going in creative and I had the time (which wasn't that long). Certainly not as long as it would've taken to make a rail from another village. I thought if it was true that would be awesome! So then I thought why not? I like innovation, making something that changes the game for us so trying something different, however unlikely, I'm up for.

Can someone explain what this means: Changed placement of half blocks and other blocks on half blocks.
Changed placement of upside down stairs and slabs.
Also currently there is a glitch cheat for blocks of iron, gold, and diamond. Does anyone know if that will get fixed in this update?
It means that we used to have to crawl underneath a block to place an upside down half slab ( the ones that are at the top half of a block). Now you should be able to place upside down stuff by having the cursor point to the top half of a block and place normally by pointing at the bottom half of the block.
It takes a little time to get used to but trust me this is a GREAT improvement over the current placement.
In respects to spawning villagers, you can't. If you only have one the only way to get another is to cure an infected zombie villager but I don't think that is coming in this update, I think that happens in 1.4 though I can't recall and am too lazy to look it up.
Once villagers are inside a village they shouldn't wander outside of 32 blocks from the center of the village, unless there is a bug with villages in the 360. I've never had them wander too far, so am a bit reluctant to believe such stories, however there is a chance that they might fall or become unattached from the village and thus begin wandering.
In respects to the duplication glitch, I don't know, there will always be ways to glitch things, be it changing the blocks meta data, ect. The best course here is to play with people who you know are honorable and won't cheat.

I've tracked one halfway across the world once. He started in a village on the extreme western edge of the world and finally got stuck and died in hole near 0,0.

Less slimes in superflat lands, dying leather armor, villager trading etc
The waiting was worth it..
SAVE THE TU13 TUTORIAL!

HIGHLY unlikely, something this big would most likely be contained within the changelog.
