Apparently including flower pots and poisonous potatoes too....
Not confirmed and unlikely as they were a Java/PC version 1.7 addition, we have confirmed getting content from Java Version 1.3 and some 1.4 content in TU14, so horses are not likely for a few TU's as yet.
While its really nice to see alot of stuff thats confirmed and all, but I'm dieing to know about the game changing mechanics that will be coming within this version. Thankfully I don't think it will be much longer before they send it to cert, and thus they will post that changelog.

Horses were introduced in 1.6, not 1.7. We're getting Carpets, and those were introduced in 1.6.

WIP 128x 64x, SEUS support, Mod support in the pipeline TEKKIT, FTB, the more support the more mods!

Your correct, horses were introduced in 1.6.1. However Greg is right, the chances of us getting horses in this update is near 0. No tweets from 4J have shown anything relating to horses, including leads, and or any horse armor, as well as hay bales. Granted that we don't really need leads and horse armor or hay bales to use horses, but by now most likely 4J would have dropped something to show them in the coming update, face the fact that it probably won't be this update, if your lucky you might see them in the next major TU.
On a personal note and someone who frequently places the PC version, horses are not all that you think they are. They are fun for about 20 or 30 mins, but one quickly tires of them. Unless one is constantly running around the map they just arn't all that they are cracked up to be. On many maps one would need to really carve out trails or paths as usually the terrain won't permit smooth and fast travel.

So horses are not all they're cracked up to be and all this hype is for almost nothing. I don't know, I'm still kinda looking forward to them. We may not be using them to travel all over the map but it's still something new and different, it adds more content to the game. Makes a pretty cool pet I suppose and from what I've read if you want to pack up and move they will come in handy. Another thing to build for. We are getting lots of new things, I don't know where I'm gonna start.
i dont think ive heard 4J say anything about horses this update

I understand that many want them, and was just making a statement that they are nice toys, but very quickly becomes one of those things where as I said previously you play with them for 20 mins and then stick them in the barn only to drag them out once in a blue moon.
Personally if I had a choice between additional blocks like colored glass, hardened clay, ect I would chose the additional blocks.
I bet horses will still be great even after awhile though. People do like Roleplaying and etc, Old west would be easier and fit the theme compared to minecrats or anything (Since we are getting carrot on a stick this update, pigs can now be our ride for fun or whatever), making huge stables/barns and competitions like IRL and more. It does depend on who you are and how you play really.
Edit- And I wonder what is behind the squid plushie...are you hiding something 4J?! It goes diamond, blank (Squid blocking it), fishing rod, pie, golden carrot, golden apple, I can't tell? is it quarts? and then a chest. (Redstone chest or regular)
Apparently including flower pots and poisonous potatoes too....
ender chests were already confirmed in previous teasers, but yeah, it appears to be.
