I left on a trip Thursday and came back today, and before I left I predicted that it would pass Cert testing Thursday and be released today... looks like I wasn't too far off.
4 or 5 weeks ago, some follower on 4Js twitter feed kept throwing out the date of 8/26. It was the classic, "I have insider info because my brother / best friend / cousin / nephew / insert whaterver works at 4J." line, complete with the ensuing flame fest. At the time, I just chalked it up to it being some troll, but as the day gets closer and closer, I'm beginning to wonder. I mean, I just KNEW it would be out before then, right?
Hopefully, this week is going to end on a little bright note - if not, maybe the troll spoketh the truth?
Happily, I'd like to point out that whoever was claiming it was 8/26 was wrong. Further proof you can't predict a release date, because an update isn't released too early, nor too late... it's released precisely when it's ready.

I just found out something with the tu12 update i like, you can reproduce the giant jungle trees. If you chop down a jungle tree you can get jungle saplings. It takes 4 in a 2x2 grid (same as the giant tree) then throw some bonemeal on one of the saplings, boom you've got yourself a giant jungle tree. You can grow them in different biomes as well, so that just cool. Large supply of wood just at your fingertips without cutting down the entire jungle.
Glad to see TU12 is finally out Moment everyone's been waiting for! :3 Now I can't wait for horses to come! Sadly my other world it has no Jungle Biome and I have a ton of good stuff D: Disappointed ,but good that I can re-start and try again with TU12 in.
We got ours last night about 10pm cst. It was rather funny how it happened too. While there was never an official date released. Me and my daughter were thinking or more like hoping it would be this weekend. We made the joke that we would turn it on one day and it would just be there and there would be no announcement. The Xbox froze last night while we were playing MC so we had to restart the console. When we did and went to launch MC it popped up there is an update for this game. We both looked at each and went no way and started laughing. Much to our surprise and excitement it was the update just the way we had joked about getting it. We were kind of in shock at first wondering if we were seeing things.
With that said, it appears redstone lamps are not updatable blocks like they are on the PC. Has anyone else noticed this as well?
Sadly I really don't know how...>< Besides I would rather have it run; speaking of which it did work, as updates and downloads are separate things, at least to the system. Still have to wait for the rest of the other download to finish though...><

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.

yea and you cant place redstone on upside down stair/slabs, thats the only thing that disappointed since we all thought they were hinting it with the torch on the slab also you cant place torches on upside down slabs/stairs. its a minor thing really. but for a redstoner like myself it would of been nice to have.

I wasnt sure it would work with the jungle but im happy it does, they do seem to be effected by how much 'green' the ground is, light green areas seem to make them look wilted as well as sandy areas. But yep happy about it just the same

apparently you know nothing about gamers. lol
Double check the swampy areas, i had some areas that looked like normal swamp but it had jungle trees.
