I have a similar problem. After downloading the Halo Mashup pack, the game stopped loading in HD (hdmi connected) and multiplayer won't work. All other 360 games work fine in HD. Weird. Tried deleting all game related data and didn't help. Anyone have an idea on this one?
I think this is related to the infamous "reset to 0%" gamma bug only involving your TV/Xbox HD settings. Try the in-game "Help & Options" - "Settings" - "Reset to Defaults" (which usually clears the gamma and other in-game settings bug) and then if that doesn't work, try re-setting your Xbox and TV HD settings (e.g resolution to 1080p).

What worked for me was going into the xbox settings and changing the screen display to 720p! Hope this helps!!!
