Lighting is much improved over TU9. Mining and spelunking are possible again (without extra ordinary work to enjoy such).
Edit for clarity: The much improved over TU9 means no longer dramatically bad like TU9. Still see rare spots on occasion but they fix immediately with a light change in range and are similar in nature to before TU9 and the PC.
Edit2: Just to be clear I understand TU10 was for critical bugs. Just think it would be better to have a new clean thread for TU10.

Well their probibly not gonna fix those dbl doors, due to the fact you can fix them yourself with some Redstone, a Repeater, a Redstone Torch, and a cpl Pressure Plates. BAM !!! You've got yourself a Better set of dbl doors that both open at the same time when stepping onjust Pressure Plate and an added bonus of a delayed closing with the repeater. So no more door closing in your face because you got stuck on your way out.
Now as for being disappointed, sssssssad, lol. It seems everybody moans and es that they want 4J to fix this and fix that, however when they take to long getting it out, you start seeing post after post that their taking to long and 4J gets it out the fix that they pain stakingly worked so hard on to get it right and working, through cert and out a.s.a.p and the same people whinning it took to long, start ing that the fix did this or didn't do that, "oh I'm so disappointed". People need to start being more considerate of the work that is actually being done, amazing stuff. If 4J wanted they could just move on to another project and leave Minecraft 360 hanging incomplete or say "hey, people wanna keep whinning and being inconsiderate of the work we at 4J have done on this game, well good luck finishing it yourself"

My world just got deleted when I tried renaming it. And no, I did not accidentally select Delete Save. After selecting Rename Save and renaming it to my liking, it gave me an error message. I'm not sure what it said exactly, because I was already worried that something went wrong, so I backed out without taking time to fully comprehend it. Anyway, after the error message, my Xbox froze up, then upon restarting it and reloading Minecraft, no more world.

Were you, by any chance, trying to rename your save and then transfer/copy a backup file from another device (cloud or USB) so that you thought you might wind up with two copies of the same world on the hard drive? From unfortunate personal experience, it doesn't work and you do get an error message; but then if you try to cancel the attempt the world on the hard drive gets deleted.

TU10 was a "hot fix"... done as quickly as possible mostly to correct the Silver Account bug and the lighting bug. It was essentially done over the 1st weekend after TU9 was released and had been waiting for a slot to certification after that. If those two bugs had not been quite so urgent to fix, I am quite sure that there may have been more bugs fixed overall. In addition, every bug fixed does have a chance of introducing an even worse one, so quite often software companies do opt to just never fix bugs that are not really that bad. It's a standard policy in the computing industry. The double door bug is a good example. Many of the bugs listed here have existed on the PC for ages and ages; and Mojang probably doesn't fix them there either for the same reasons.

As all of us have had a problem with the rename and most of us now backup before renaming I would recommend you do the same from now on, It is a shame it had to happen to you. all I can say I hope you had the seed number and if you need help in recreating the world I would glad to help you in this matter.

Hm. I wonder what is more important... Fixing two issues that made the game completely unplayable for a very large portion of the players, or fixing some messed up glass and doors which are just minor annoyances?

for dbl dors all you need is:
2 doors
2 pressure plates
1 inverter "made form a redstone torch and any block"
2 redstone
this is how it is done before you place any doors or plates build this under ground one block deep

On the Xbox 360 Edition, they're utterly silent.
I agree they covered what was important and what was needed, to get to the next update.
I love that Mustache Guy silent or not that is just deadly if I can get that to work in my maze that will reduce the survival time from 7 to about 2 minutes or less and convert the numbers back in to rage quits again.
I found a new bug the item frame/ paintings. I can't place anymore of them. While some may say this isn't a bug, others including myself will. Before the update I could place a unlimited amount and NONE of mine where disappearing. Now I am limited to 199 paintings / item frames combine. I haven't had a chance to use the item frames because I'm at my limit and I don't won't to have a bunch of buildings with plain walls and no paintings. If I knew they where going to be LIMITING the game even more i would of just stuck with the TU9 update. I have unlimited signs but I can't have unlimited paintings/ item frames???
Please 4j Studio Remove The Limits off the paintings/item frames or at least raise the limit up to 1000 or maby 650
I hope 4j Studio see this message but they probably just going to ignore it like all my other post!
Edit - Since the TU10 some of the paintings in my world has been removed!
Thanks for posting that mustache im making a list of sounds that need to be fixed and this was a new one. Theres not too many that dont work but this makes about 5 or 6 i hope they will fix in the next update.

This isn't a bug. It was said in the change log that they are going to limit the amount you can place
Rather than them disappearing when you place too many. Yours may have not been disappearing but for others
They have. So they had to address it to where it works for everyone with out disappearing.

It does make a slightly poorer game overall, though.. regardless of how severe. Some of the fixes are a bit of a pain!

I am fully aware how to adapt to this bug, but a fix would be more helpful.
At the end of the day, I am sure people would rather not have these bugs than have them! I am just (perhaps over-enthusiastically) playing my part in trying to improve the game to it's best potential! Why the sour faces?
I have not made any sour face I felt bad for the person who lost their save if that is what your reffering to the other was a layout to the door resolution not sour faces. This is how I have always done double doors since 1.6. My apology for any hard feelings in this matter and for offering a solution in this matter where it was not asked for.
Started a new world for TU10. It was the best world I've seen in quite some time, and I was starting to get excited about playing Minecraft again. After about 10 minutes, my screen goes crazy and I get booted out of the game, with the error message 'Connection to host has been lost', which is funny because I WAS THE HOST.
Eyes of Ender DO NOT lead you to the End Portal room.
lots of people say this they get you with in 20 to 30 blocks what is your seed number it should get you close I will be glad to locate it for you and tell you where it is after I have found it with the eyes of ender

Yup, and TNT is still all jacked up in creative at least where I played with my son. But on my server in survival the creepers still sit there frozen in time.. little blocks appear as if blown up...and like 5 secs later the creeper blows up.

Splash potions work for inconsistent periods of time. From an 8 minute speed potion, the spash potion read 6 minutes, but on throwing, the time tended to come up as 3-5 minutes and be used up strangely rapidly. I tried to test it properly with a stop watch but life kept happening. This may have occured with TU9 also, but didn't pick up on it until just this last play session (I make speed splash potions then dose everyone when we wake up in the morning.)
I always us the drinking potions for any thing that apply to the player using on them selves and this seems consistent, I did not think there was a way to be consistent with a splash potion just for that reason. So just subtract the gun powder now you have a drinking potion. in fact when I went to poison something I found my self poisoning my self as well. so I now only use splash over a wall from a high place
If your just adding them to your survival map in creative, then switching back here is what I know
I figured these out for my self adding gun powder makes a splash potion, I keep them in note pad

nether wart + water bottle = Akward Potion
akward potion + magna cream = Fire Resistance Potion

After killing a zombie while standing on a frozen lake, one experience orb fell through the ice (I had collected the other two). (I could actually see it through the ice blocks on the bottom of the lake.) There were no broken ice blocks for it to fall through
While standing near where the XP orb had fallen though, a single orb would seemlying rise up out of the ice, jump around a bit like the game was dropping frame rate, float towards me, and finally disappear with the xp collected sound. This happened 4 times in a row. Collecting this orb did not seem to impact my experience total.
