IDK if this was reported already, but tamed wolves seem to take random suffocation damage when standing on wooden planks placed before the update, tested it with other mobs with different lighting levels but it seems wolves are the only ones taking damage, I also tested it by replacing all the wooden planks on the house with new ones (oak, spruce and birch) and the wolves stopped taking damage. I took a long time doing this and now thanks to this I have to replace all the wood houses I made in my world....
Thank you, I literally just made an account to raise concern for this issue. Glad I'm not the only one, and that there's a workaround. I thought it might have been the wolves themselves, so I tried breeding new ones, only to find out they were getting hurt walking around my house. Time to do some renovations...
Maybe it's Herobrine. He has a tendency to inflict harm on my pets. I thought he was taken out
I know other people have mentioned the inability to have animals go into love mode - I just wanted to point out that while I'm also unable to do so with any animals that enter love mode with wheat (pigs, cows, mooshrooms, & sheep), I have no trouble getting chickens to go into love mode. Maybe it's some kind of glitch with wheat?

Anyone else noticing this?
I've had the love mode glitch while trying to replace sheep that have spontaneously died today (completely fenced in, no way for wolves to get inside and I play Peaceful most of the time). Try saving and restarting, that helped.
Whats worse, in my case, is that on my and one of my friend's pre- TU9 worlds, random animals have stopped appearing. I currently have penned in three sheep each of six colors, two cows and two chickens and before the update, I'd see whole herds of wild cattle, pigs and (in smaller amounts) sheep randomly spawning right outside my house. Worked on updating my place today and I didn't see a single random spawn animal. I even went looking for them- none, anywhere in the half map area I "live" for the moment.
1. Animals escape from pen
2. Cannot breed animals
3. Ender portal does not work on creative
4. Cannot turn off dispensed water/lava, shoots out bucket
This and dispensened water shoots the bucket itself. Btw nether that are newly generated are quite difficult to find fortress. it took me 2 min to find mine. aaand lighting glitch. other than that game is amazing!
I agree that this bug is really annoying and I hope they do fix it on the very next bug fix update. As a temporary workaround, I have discovered that if the light doesn't correct when you plant a torch, it will most likely correct when you remove that same torch.
I found that when on a laggy friends server.
It's best to hold down LT and RT over a torch with torch in hand.
Eventually the light will work again.
Please 4J fix it soon
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I put my shirt on one leg at a time, just like everybody else.
My reset Nether still contains no Nether Fortress.
Could you provide the seed for the level?

If signs are placed on a map in creative mode and reloaded in survival... the text on the signs will disapear on almost every sign for everyone except for the host. If other players join the game the text does not show for them as well. if it is reloaded in creative the words still do not show... This occured multiple times because we had to redo the signs
I cant duplicate it anymore but when the tu9 first came out yesterday i was getting into position directly above the end portal. I stood on a block that was one space above where the portal would be and i was filling in the eyes. I was holding the last eye and i was getting off my platform and as i stood on one of the other frame spots and was crouching over the portal somewhat and when i placed the last eye it acted like i was already in the portal but i was in a loading screen for 3 mins before i decided to just exit without saving and redo it from a far. Additionally when i was making a spot for my battle house in the end i had jumped out of the world so i can respawn to grab the rest of my gear that i had ready. I had made my way to the portal frame and decided to be somewhat dramatic and i jumped but i was a block in the air over the portal and i was teleported through. Again i was not going through the portal yet and i was inside but this time i was not frozen as i had already loaded the end.
Ive done tests in many of my other worlds with the same effect but it never froze up like it did that one time or the portal acted correctly unlike the above actions.
Re-reporting a bug that DrAtomic and I worked on in TU8 (just before TU9) came out. It is still present.
When playing in splitscreen mode and a player other than Player 1 is using the enchanting table and is at the point where they have placed their item in the table interface...
1. A save will leave the enchanting interface open when the game is resumed. OK
2. A save and exit will close the enchanting interface but the item in the interface will either be returned to the player's inventory OR left visibly floating above the enchanting table. (this is also OK)
3. A save (which leaves the enchanting table open) and then an immediate exit without saving will cause the enchanting table to close and the item to disappear never to be seen again - "poof, into another dimension" (as DrAtomic stated it). (This is a bug and it is repeatable EVERY single time this save and then exit without saving process is done regardless of whether or not the game is being played offline.)
1. Still not able to access old saves with non-gold user accounts on our XBox. Even without an internet connection.
After reading, UpUp_Away95's reply, i wondered if i did something wrong and went through the system trying everything. Up to unplugging our modem and router and trying every account on our XBox i have access to without a latent internet connection. (Our XBox only connects to our network wireless-ly so this was the easiest method i could come up with to be sure we were offline completely.) Still no dice on the old saves with silver and non-LIVE users, but was able to begin the tutorial and start new seeds with each user account. I don't mean to be sharp, but how exactly do i explain this to the six-year-old who spent nearly a month of privileges (of time on the XBox) to build up her "supplies" to go to The End? Good thing the weather is improving and she can be distracted with riding bikes... i hope.
I agree that this is really perplexing, disappointing and frustrating. I honestly can't figure out what we at our house might have done right that you might have done wrong to cause this. Some basic difference may exist in how our ISPs work; but I think it's more likely to be related to how Live is working (or rather not working) with the game properly rather than something at the ISP level. As of last night, we are all still able to access our saves. The one thing we haven't done is try to have the Live gold account signed in as Player 2 as another offline profile is attempting to access one of their games as Player 1. For obvious reasons, I'm not going to push my luck and try that now; but "logic" (i.e. intuition) tells me it could conceivably have something to do with it.
Anyone else having problems using axes on the original wooden half slabs? It acts like I'm using my hand. It does not do this with the new light wood half slab. I'm not able to test the darker half slab because I don't have that type of wood in the old world I'm using from TU2.
I reset the nether in my world and was a little concerned when at first everything seemed EXACTLY like the original except for netherwart in the soul sand. Eventually found a nether fortress though and had a good time finding blazes and then adding.potion stands to the world for the first time.

Wooden half slabs have always required a pickaxe to mine them... don't ask me why, but it has been ever thus.
Apparently any kind of Saving will boot all players except the host.....They can rejoin afterwards but extremely annoying..
You fixed the auto save last time for us "server runners" when Idle.... now you broke it again! lol
OverlookeDEnT, do you have Minecraft on an Xbox with the Internal Memory unit (4GB) and on the memory Unit or USB? I had that with my daughter's system, the solution was to get her a hard drive and copy the game to that. Hmmm, I should check to see if that is still a problem. Give a detail bug report.
I just got minecraft for the Xbox 360 about 3 days ago and I playing it for like 2 day straight and I opened it up an it said there was an update so I updated it and then when I tried to open up and play my world it said connection to server was lost exiting to the main menu. I wasn't on Xbox live if that has anything to do with it. I made a new world and put a lot of work into it to make it good and then I save amd exited and when I came back it said the connection was lost again. It will let me make new worlds but when I go back it say the connection is lost. I really like this game but I don't want to keep playing if I can't go back into any worlds that I make. I'm just really disappointed that this isn't working. If anyone knows how to fix this please help. Thanks
