I suggest being able to put your XP in Bottles. Sometimes when I go caving and I have a lot of experience (like maybe 15-20 levels), I don't want to die with it! In Creative Mode you can get the Bottle O' Enchanting and get lots of levels, in Survival Mode I think you should be able to put your current level of XP in the bottle. Then when you get more from caving, mining, smelting, killing, etc. you can just throw it down and add it to your current level to get level 30 or whatever level you want. (Like if you have a bottle with 15 in it and then you get 15 more caving, you can just throw the 15 level bottle down and get 30 and enchant.)

Both. Im being rude to the rookies in MF that post suggestions like, " The updates need o come faster!" and what not, and im being nice to you being this is actually a good topic!
Here is the only snag I see with this. This is a good idea... but this may induce greifers when on online games to become theives, if they arnt already. To which they then slip into your home while you are cave diving and take your bottle of XP, as well as some other choice items ( diamonds, iron/gold ingots, food, obsidian, &CT) However.. I like this idea... uhhh... how do I give it a +1?

Yes, because adding a new way to store XP will make griefers break into your house more. :/
To your common everyday theif, why not.. it's free XP. Am I serious the only one that see this as an issue in online playthroughs?
But the thing is, you never know what's in the chests in the first place. Griefers wouldn't break in more because they would already be breaking in for resources.

It can actually benefit in multiplayer because i have a lot of problems dying and the people on my server take my stuff and i ask them to give me my stuff, and they do, but the can't give me the exp. they took.

Well when I do get my XBLgold up and running and I start playing on the PC. I am gonna start boobytrapping my strongholds, and burying my treasure. ( in case you are wandering I am trying to find a color noone has used much of... therefore orange... is it visible?)

I can see that when and if you are playing with a well known group of friendos. .. huh I guess I am overthinking the situation eh.. lol

I've been thinking on suggesting something but, you beat me to it lol.
Cause I did die when I hit level 32 while in a cave and fell into lava. And I thoguht to myself "I sure wish there was a way to store our exp somehow.."
I think this is a good idea. But make it Account Bound so that people cannot pick it up and steal it if they happen to find it. And if it's in a chest make it unbreakable while it's in there.. Or.. just have it be a bottle you can place on the ground like any other item and them just touch it the same as say a crafting table, and you can choose how much you want to take out.. or put in etc.. Much like a sort of "bank".

Well, if they take my stuff, I take their lives.
