So I have seen a few different types of worlds on here since I have been playing Minecraft and participating on the forums. However, the Xbox version keeps you very limited compared to the PC. You can only have 8 players maximum, plugins are unavailable, mods aren't on here, etc.
You get my point; so how is it that people still manage to host unique worlds for Roleplaying, factions, pvp, prison types, economic worlds, etc? I see that it has much to do with being a good host and knowing what to do. The other is just knowing how to make your world sound unique and awesome. From what I have seen the least limited world is just plain old survival. So how has your experience been with different worlds on the Xbox version, whether it be with hosting or joining one? Do you know how to work around these limits?
I have hosted 24 hour servers and been on others. First you need good internet connection yourself. It has been my experience that 8 may be the technical max but the real number is lower. A good internet connected host can have 6 players on a world at the same time and not have sever lag IF they are not spread all over the map and IF there are no huge 5000 redstone machines running on auto.
Remember if people are spread across the seed then blocks have to be generated mobs are spawned etc. But 6 people can work on building a village or city or kill the enderdragon etc. without too many issues.
