I've always thought about what kind of house I would want and doing some playing in minecraft has given me the inspiration, that if I ever get the funds to get a house built, I would add some interesting features.

I guess this isn't completely minecraft related, but it has come up again because of minecraft.

In one of my games I have a place in a castle where a switch opens up a secret passage to lower set of tunnels that eventually go to a chest of full of diamonds.

I guess I've always like secret tunnels and stuff and it got me really thinking, if I did have the funds, what indeed would I add to my house? I thought about tunnels that can maybe go room to room, maybe a secret stair case.

I guess I should qualify, by tunnels in between rooms. I don't mean like go underground and come up. Just like you know a small crawl space that can connect to another room.

Yes, and I'm also in the process of building a copy of my real house, but each time I try, the scale is way off and I gotta build bigger.
Minecraft is a great way to draft designs.

Yeah, I burnt down and blew up random houses on a minecraft server, and then did it in real life.

Sure, Minecraft encourages creativity, but I doubt someone would base an actual building off the game. You have blocks in Minecraft, blocks that completely ignore physics and just float around in the sky. To turn that into a blueprint/building would be to change the majority of the design and concept.

If anything its the other way around. Things around me inspire me to build in minecraft.
