Ok. So me and a friend love golf. So naturally we made a full out golf course with a club house and everything, using ender pearls for the ball and had everything worked out and were pretty much 100% done. Then the update came out (I think it was when TU 12 came out). All of our regular planes biomes switched to snow, which means out entire golf course gets covered with snow and all of the water features and hazards become ice. We took up almost half of a world doing this so we don't want to waste hour after hour covering it with glass or cobwebs to stop the snow. Plus we would still have to deal with the ice which ruins the look of the golf course. We wanted to be 110% satisfied with it before we made a downloadable version but now our countless hours of work are for nothing. Does anyone know a way that could re-swap the biomes. Our desert rains, snow biome does nothing, and our plains/hills snows. Its so frustrating. So any help is much appreciated.
There is no fix for biome shift when updates add new ores and/or terrain to the generation formula. It's an issue that also occurs on the PC. You can glass over the "roof" of the world high up to stop snow from falling... or wait to see if a future update changes the biomes again to something you'd like better than snow. Even if a future update causes the snow to stop falling, you will have to shovel away what has already fallen since it doesn't melt on its own.
There are a zillion threads in both the X360 section and the PC section of these forums on biome shift. The alternative would be if an update just overwrote all the terrain in your world to match the weather that should be there post update... but then your golf course would just totally disappear with each update... not a good thing and I, personally, would rather just put up with wonky weather.
