You can put silk touch on shears and obtain the spider webs. This wasn't n in the change log and I hadn't seen it posted so I thought I'd share this with you guys. If you knew this already then take it easy on me.

You're all good. I think this could be part of the bug that allows anything to be enchanted right now, but then again, maybe not. It would be VERY cool to be able to harvest the webs as is.
Well I know on PC you can obtain them this way. So I decided to try and it works. It is pretty cool to have in survival worlds. I don't think this will be fixed. This is a feature fron 1.4 I think. Another feature past the 1.3.1 mark.
good to have some sort of confirmation. As I was under the same impression due to fact you can use books to enchant items. I would imagine you can put unbreaking on them as well. Have not attempted either but none the less good to hear at least one confirmed.

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.

I have been able to put unbreaking on armor and a sword in survival.

thankyou for the info. though its useless since the world i play in doesnt have enchanted books its good to know if i ever make a new world

At least on the pc edition it does, and the very reason I mentioned what I did. Since they are basically mimicking what was done on the pc in that respects. Unsure if you can do what you mentioned on the pc edition, but regardless that sounds nice to have.
Interesting what you can and can not enchant; now only if we can get the fishing mechanics over.

Just put a book in the enchanting table. This can be done in any pre TU 14 world. No need to make a new one.
