So, I am on MC Xbox. I havent played it in a while since I have been playing on the internet version. But anywhoo me and a friend started a new world on the Xbox version (360), and when we first started there was 1 chicken and we killed it. Ever since we havent seen ONE chicken. We have went all around our world pretty much. Our map is almost complete. Any help on where to look or how to attract chickens so we can mate them?
Yeah, I just lured one from a jungle biome a little while ago and have been breaking eggs as fast as they are laid. However, the young ones keep dying almost right away (suffocation issue, I think). Anyone having any luck getting young ones to mature right now outside a jungle biome? (Sucks that my villager wants cooked chickens to get emeralds.)

I don't know if it varies per animal or not, but I have a good 20-some sheep that have yet to die, so....
I'll try to remember to check later if I can get on.
I have been able to get chicks to maturity in my snow biome, in a fairly small area. I've had a few suffocate, but I have managed to raise them up as well. So it is possible.

Thanks for confirming that it's not biome related. I'll keep working on my pen design then.

okay your situation is kinda weird. but im having the same issue i needed 2 chickens to breed. when I looked around the world for around 3 hrs i didint find one. 2 real days later i finally find one in the night around 150 blocks awy from my house then a skeleton desides to be a problem and shoots it. That explains why I've seen no difference in them in my world.
But yeah, there's some kind of spawning fault with them.
Apparently stick to jungles and use eggs/seeds to get more....
Stay fluffy~
