I grew some trees along the very edge of the map in creative mode and I was standing in the one block of extra space when I grew up the tree with bone meal and now I'm blocked in on the left, right, and top sides.... I tried going into survival mode and killing myself but I can't place anything in the blocks by the 'grace zone', I can't eat any poison food, or eat at all, and I can't even starve to death! I need some help on how to get out!
(Don't suggest deleting the save.... I would rather delete Minecraft)
It didn't dawn on me to keep moving........ It took about 1,500 years because of how little space I had.... But 7 poisonous potatoes (to Get rid of health) and more work than I should have needed, later and I AM FREE! *facepalm*

Ah, I just realized.... I forgot to mention you can eat zombie flesh to reduce you're hunger faster.
Or splash potions of harm / poison to deplete your health.

But seriously, why can't you starve to death? Just keep jumping and moving around until it depletes. Make sure you are on Hard mode first.
I would have said just exit without saving and reload the map, but something tells me you saved the game after you got stuck.
