Hi All -

I am fairly new at this and am into building conveyance crafts of different types like boats, subs, airships, etc.

I would like to know if there is a way to power a vehicle of any type to make it move on land or sea.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm fairly certain that, as far as transportation options go, we're confined to minecarts on a rail system. Propelling entire structures does not seem viable. Though, you could try the PC edition of Minecraft and snoop around for vehicle mods.

I'll stick my neck out and try to answer this.
In MC there is a small, one-person Boat that you can move about. There is also a small Minecart that can also be powered on rails to move around in. Other than these two, there is no 'propulsion system' in the game (i.e., propellers, engines, etc.) to build 'conveyance crafts' with that will move them about on air, land, or sea. You can build them (people build big ships, planes, even space ships all the time) but they don't move.

Sad to say, but if that's what you're into, I think you picked the wrong game. (Maybe there's a mod for the PC version).

I've heard of some Airship mods, hot air balloon mods, and even airplane mods on the PC version.

You can only do this on the PC. Some youtubers creatively edit their videos to make ships look like they move on MCXB, confusing some people into thinking a propulsion system exists when in fact there is none.

Recently the PC version came out with Slime blocks that stick to other blocks and can be moved in limited directions. Not quite the same thing but it's closer to what this guy wants. However, that's a PC update and the Xbox version does not have it.

It's also limited to moving a few (seven I think) blocks at a time.
