I am at a dilema. I have been playing minecraft for the xbox for a long time, and I have had a survival world on it for 2-3 years! I have had to spawn in things before but it has been pretty much legit aside from that. With this new update I am thinking about maybe spawning in some villagers so I can trade with them. It is not really an option to create a new world because my castle and jkingdom I have spent to much time on. So is it cheating if I spawn in some villagers? PS the things I have spawned in on the world were either lost when I deleted my world once. Or were unobtainable.
It depends on what your definition of legitimate is. From my perspective (if it was me), no, I wouldn't consider it legitimate. Like I said though, up to you to decide ultimately.
And what you're asking is subjective, meaning you'll never get a definitive answer from anyone but yourself.
